4 | He Wondered

356 35 2

Smoldering eyes greeted his sleep,
In them lay a pain so deep.

It pained his heart to see her hurt,
Even though she had treated him, like dirt.

Her unknown identity plagued him,
Her spirit that never seemed to dim.

Her heart he saw, was unstable,
Her face, a mask, an age old fable.

There was nothing astounding about her,
Yet, beauty lied in the eye of the beholder.

He was struck by her presence,
He had to ask her for repentance.

For his phone had captured his mind,
At the hateful wonder, of his new find.

His beastly best friend,
Had stolen his beautiful girlfriend.
