I kept saying in my head, ...He's going to make the move again... , ...Retreat, Retreat...! As he got closer step by step, my heart beat faster than I could breath. His hands were inch's away from cupping my cheek. I kept my eyes glued to his pale blue eyes, he had a glistening in them. He smelt of woody spice, like a combination of woods and amber's with a hit of mystery in it.
Then there was a knock on the door, Alfred stopped and stared at me as I looked at the door. We both stood there waiting for someone to speak from the other end of the door. "Hey Tatum? You there?" It was Ava, when I looked at Alfred he was still frozen but pale. As if the blood ran away from him. I shoved Alfred towards my room, and he seemed confused. "Hey are you okay?" She questioned with worry in her voice.
"Yea, I'm fine. It's just that I just got out of the shower, I'm getting dressed so hold on." I yelled from across the hotel room. Alfred was still looking at me confused.
I shoved him into my bathroom, he had his eyebrows creased together. I whispered to him in his ear so only him to hear me. "Stay here, I don't want Ava to find you." I looked back in his eyes. He shook his head in agreement then a grin showed up on his face.
"Hiding me now? Am I to much of a bad boy for your friend?" I looked at him in a serious way, through I couldn't help but grin a bit from him. All of a sudden he pecked a kiss on my forehead, and I looked up at him confused. Through he only was smiling not telling me why he did that.
"By the way I gotta get dress in here so don't you dare look!" I stared down at him, through he only chuckled without saying a word.
I pulled on my black shiny leather like skinny jeans, then my white blouse, a light blue jeans jacket, and last a silver gold long chest necklace with a small pearl at the end. I looked back at the bathroom the door and it was clearly shut, so that meant that he didn't look at me as I got dressed.
Afterwards I jogged over towards the door, opening it immediately. There stood Ava wearing a cotton lace white dress shirt with a light brown belt wrapped around her, with black leggings, she was wearing a light brown leather jacket, also with a grey scarf hanging around her neck, and she had brown wedges on. In her hands were tow large plastic cups of coffee.
"I thought that you may want some?" She smiled welcoming, and I returned it grabbing the coffee she had out in her hand for me.
"Thanks." I took a sip of the coffee, it was sweet, yet a bit of bitterness to it. It was bittersweet which I like. " Where did you go to get the coffee?" I looked at the coffee she gave me than at her.
Ava looked up at the ceiling thinking of what the place was called until she looked back at me"Um its called... SIP coffee bar." I then tried to remember if I ever passed that place, I didn't.
"Interesting, we can can head out there sometime." I smiled and she said 'yea'.
I invited her into the hotel room, we both sat down on the couch. She seemed unsure about something, she was off edge for whatever was in her mind. I looked at her confused, I broke the silence not because I didn't like it, just because I wanted to make sure everything is okay.
"He, whats a matter?" I took a sip of the coffee that I have fallen in love with.
She looked at me confused. "Huh? ... Oh it's nothing." I looked at her with that are-you-serious face. "Fine I've been meaning to tell you-...Whats that smell, it smells like Cologne?" She looked around the room trying to find anything of a guy around the room.
I almost started to panic because I don't know what she'll think of Alfred a billionaire playboy hiding in my bathroom. "Ava come on whats wrong?" I looked at her concerned, and she believed my look I gave her, as if she was imagining things. Through she wasn't imagining.
"I have a date tonight with the man of my dreams. He and I have been together for a few months now. And since he's always traveling we never have really had time to hang out, so he finally decided to ask me out on a date." She was blushing a little bit, because she was thinking of her boyfriend.
"Well where are you guys going?" I studied her face.
"A fancy restaurant, I'm not sure which one yet though. Then were probably are going to walk around and chat." She smiled cheerfully at me already getting excited for the event.
"Wear a flowing nice dress or if you really what to show him some lust wear something tight but appropriate. Since you have natural straight hair add some waves or make it curly. Your already beautiful enough so since it's a special nigh put some make-up on. Everything's going to be fine, trust me." I smiled at her putting my hand on her shoulder trying to make her feel at ease with this.
"Okay thanks, I guess I needed a little women to woman talk. You know to give me some women power for tonight. " She smiled at me, and I smiled back. It's nice to have a girl friend around to hang out with.
Sometimes you can deal with life on your own, through a lot of the time you need someone to lean on. Someone to talk to, laugh with, and to share each others life with. It makes life a lot easier for yourself.
After an hour or two Ava left to make some decisions about what her out fit is going to be for the night. As we gave each other a hug than she was gone, through she may call me to ask for some advise. I jogged towards the bathroom that Alfred was in.
The door was wide open, and he wasn't inside. I looked around calling for his name. He didn't answer, as I looked back into the bathroom...
"Boo!" The voice was loud, and I jumped turned around to punch whoever scared me.
"Don't do that, I almost punched you!" I punched him in the shoulder for doing so, through it was playfully.
He looked at his shoulder than back at me, he chuckled than was smiling at me. "What was that for?" I shrugged my shoulders at his question. "Was that suppose to be a love tap?"
I widened my eyes. "What?! No it wasn't!" I walked off heading for the bathroom to brush my teeth. Because I don't want the coffee I drank to stain my white teeth.
I put my toothbrush under the Fosse as it let water out, then stuffed the toothbrush with toothpaste on it in my mouth. He leaned on the frame of the bathroom door, looking at me.
"So what were you and your friend Ava talking about?"He asked.
I shrugged my shoulders, I took out my toothbrush to speak. " She just wanted to get some advice from me about a date she's going tonight."
His eyes were wide, why is he so surprised?
