i was on the phone with justin for awhile. he wanted to check up on me and see if i was okay. he said he was coming over to hang out and make up for what happened the night before. when he arrived, we went into my room to hang out. he was laying on my bed on his stomach, and i was sitting on my desk chair. i had music playing on a low volume.

“so, i talked to nick.” i said and justin gave me a confused look.
frost.” i reminded him.
“right. do i need to go handle business?” he joked.
“it wasn't him. we- i have no idea who it was, but i have a feeling it may be astrid.” my heart began beating a bit faster.
“have you talked to christopher?” he said before shoving chips into his mouth. he brought snacks for our hang out.
“we haven't been talking. he's been acting like a dick lately.”
“you should see if he knows anything. this isn't fair for you, em. this is cruel.” i agreed.
“you would think my older brother would help me out. it's his last year in high school and he thinks he's a hot shot because he's dating a sophmore.” i was hurt.
“an ugly one too.” we both laughed. we listened to the music for a bit without saying anything.

“it's really weird that nick got my number. i never gave it to him.” i blurted out. justin looked up at me quickly and then away, hiding his face with his phone. i narrowed my eyes at him.
“justin.” i saw him grinning behind his phone.
“justin, why would you?” i groaned.
“he asked. he told me he knew the boy from the party, the one i was telling you about, and said he would hook me up with him if i gave him your number.” i rubbed my face with my hands. i began laughing at how silly justin was. “you know, your girl was not going to give up that opportunity.”
“knowing what happened?” he just looked at me and smiled. i shook my head in disbelief.
“his name's brooklyn in case you were wondering.” he mumbled. i laughed.
“i wasn't, but thanks for letting me know.”
“you know, frost is pretty hot, emma. if i were you-” i cut him off.
“no.”
“you didn't even let me finish!” i shook my head at him.
“no, not after everything going on. i told him to not talk to me ever again.” justin kept looking from his phone then to me.
“well, things can change.” he smirked.
“don't you dare do anything.” i was getting frustrated with justin.
“i won't, yet.” he mumbled.

we talked for a couple of hours before justin had to go home. he had asked about the astrid situation, and i told him about when i was talking to ryan and then the part where she was calling me out in front of everyone. he was so tempted to go ‘fight’ her or at least egg her house. it wasn't a bad idea, the egging part, but i told him we'll see what she does monday.

from what she did at her party, i know she's definitely up to something, and my brother was either going with it or ignoring it.
