Lost

I wake up to see that I'm not in my usual room. I sigh remembering all that happened yesterday.

Diary, oh how a lot of things happened. Alex, punched Nixon over me. We all went camping with Max and Ian, then Alex passed out. I came home to me so called dad playing around with three teenage girls. I moved out and I'm staying in a motel right now.... God.

I should call somebody. I shouldn't call Alex, he's resting. I'll call, Max.

"Hello?"

"Alex, hey um so I'm in a motel right now" I sigh.

"Why...?"

"I moved out of my house yesterday because I figured out my dad is a pedophile"

"Oh my god, did he touch you?"

"God no, he was playing around with three girls my age when I came hime early yesterday, what should I do?"

"Um, stay with Vicky and I" Max sighs.

"Really?"

"Of course, we have an extra bedroom from my parent anyways"

"Thank you Max" I sigh in relief.

"Then when your eighteen you can get your own place" Max laughs.

"Right, if you can handle me that long"

"Yea, well come over, you have some unpacking to do"

The call ends. I'm so lucky to have friends like them.

I forget about the motel and I get dressed into a grey shirt and blue jean shorts with my white sneakers. I gather my things and I ride to Max's house.

I arrive and I knock on his door.

"Hey roommate" Vicky happily answers the door.

"Hey" I smile.

"Come inside your new home" Vicky steps aside. I walk in to see Ian and Max on the living room couch.

"Hey" Max stands from the couch and gives me a hug.

"Come on your room awaits" Max grabs my suitcase leading me upstairs. To my left is one room and two rooms to my right.  He leads me to the room to my left. He opens the door and I see a giant bed with only a matress on it. Two windows straight ahead when you walk in. A closet door to my left.

"This is your room enjoy" Max smiles sitting my suitcase down.

"I can't thank you enough for letting me stay here"

"Don't thank me, it will be fun having you live here" Max smiles.

"I should start unpacking"

"No" Max leads me out shutting the room door.

"Pack later, Nixon invited everyone over"

"Nixon?"

"Yea, he's here" Max leads me downstairs. Vicky and Nixon were on the couch along with Ian on a separate couch.

"Hey guys" I smile.

"Hey" Nixon smiles.

"I'm sorry about your dad" Nixon says.

"Eh, I'm not, I won't miss him"

The doorbell rings.

"I got it" Vicky opens the door to reveal Jax, Sam, and Alex.

"Hey guys" I smile. Alex immediately runs up to me and gives me a big hug.

"Hello to you too" I laugh.

"Are you ok?" He pulls away.

"Everyone, just to be clear, I am perfectly fine" I sigh.

"We're going to the skate park, you coming Rose?" Jax asks.

"Sure, Ian? Max?" I ask.

"Nah, skating isn't really our thing" Max says.

"I'm gonna hang out with Vicky" Nixon smiles.

"Okay have fun" Alex smiles.

We walk all the way to the skatepark which wasn't that far. Sam and I watch them all skate on the bench.

"Can I get another lesson?" I ask.

"Yea, but you'll need your own board" She points to the shop right across from us.

"Ok" We walk into the shop and there are hundreds of skateboards hanging on the walls with skate gear everywhere. One skateboard catches my eye. It was colorful with black and white cites on the bottom.

"That one"  point to it. It was midway down the back wall.

"I'll get a worker" Sam goes to the front desk and comes back with a guy.

"Can I have that one?" I point to the skateboard. He takes it off of the wall handing it to me.

"I'll ring you up" He goes back too the front desk and we follow.

"Thirty forty seven" I hand him my card and he scans it. I enter my pin.

"Thank you" I smile.

We head back in the parking lot and she tries to teach me a few tricks. I learned how to flip from wall to wall, that's about it.

"You've made progress" We head back to the benches joining everyone else who was sweating and sitting down.

"Nice board" Jax smiles.

"Thanks" I smile.

"How do you feel?" I ask Alex.

"Tired" He sighs.

"I do not want to go to school tomorrow" I sigh.

"Well, it is what it is. Look at it this way school ends in four months" Jax smiles.

"Ugh, too long" I sigh.

"What do you guys plan on majoring for college?" Sam asks.

"Computer engineering" Jax smiles.

"Good for you, they make money" I say.

"I wanna be a scientist" I smile.

"What about you Alex?" Sam asks.

"A doctor" Alex takes a sip of his water.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yea, I wanna save lives" Alex smiles.

We all walk back home and we all sit on the couch watching some movie about some group of kids who went camping and are being stalked.

Im living with Max and his sister now. They are so nice letting me live here. I wonder how long it will last....
