Nerd Boy (Shawmila)

CHAPTER 1

Camila's pov

"See ya later Mila!" My best friend Ariana yells to me as she walks down the hallway. I wave and smile at her. I turn and put my things in my locker ready to start the day. I hear a loud crash "Get out of my way dumbass!"

I look over to see Shawn stumbling on his feet after he crashes into the garbage can trying to steady himself. He looks back and yells "That push was weak Justin I know you can do better. By the way, you call me a dumbass but my 4.0 GPA says otherwise."

I laugh as Shawn smirks and Justin turns around and glares at him.

Shawn smiles a huge smile when he sees me and I can't help but smile back. He has tight skinny jeans on with a spiderman T- shirt and some red Converse Chuck Taylors on his feet.

"It's Wednesday nerd boy, why aren't you wearing Captain America?" I ask cause I know that he has a specific day for his favorite superheroes.

"Well it seems that I have lost my Captain America belt and I refuse to wear an Incredible hulk belt or Spider Man belt while I'm wearing a Captain America shirt."

I raise my eyebrows at his response "Sorry I asked"

"No it's fine. I have the day off today and I am going to buy a new one, would you like to come with me princess?" He asks and holds his head high.

"Sure Shawn I'll go with you" I tell him my smile never leaving my face.

He fist bumps the air and jumps in a circle. The bell rings telling us that we need to get to our first class of the day.

"Well I will see you later beautiful. Calculus is calling my name" He kisses me on the cheek and runs off down the hall dodging everyone to be to class first.

I laugh and watch him until I can't see him anymore. He's so cute.

"So what are your plans for the day?" Dinah asks me at our lunch table. I look across the lunchroom to Shawn who is balancing his Spiderman fidget spinner on his nose. "Me and Shawn are going shopping today" i say and Everyone smiles and awes.

"Just give him a chance Mila he's so sweet" Normani says to me.

"Yeah he's so cute" Ally speaks up.

"Guys I'm not sure he's really into relationships like that I mean his relationship with his comic books would be stronger than ours"

"So you have thought about a relationship with him?" Ari cuts in with a smirk.

I shake my head and before I can speak Dinah says something first "Yeah he's a dork but he would try his hardest to make you happy. Plus it's not like he's gonna cheat, I love him and all but no other girls really take interest in him."

"You guys he's my friend and our friendship is amazing. That's all we'll ever be" i say seriously as I glance at him. I see Justin come and grab his fidget spinner off his nose and throw it away. Shawn just shrugs and pulls out his red and gold Iron Man fidget spinner. I laugh at his carelessness and how much he's prepared for anything.

"Mila give it some thought, all the other guys at this school are douchebags" Lauren says and I nod. They are right about that but me and Shawn are strictly friends.

I glance over at Shawn again. He sees me and waves with a big grin on his face. I wave back and smile.

"This one is it" he says and pulls it off the shelf. We've been searching for a Captain America belt for over an hour and he finally found one.

"I kinda like this one better" i say as I found another one that was slightly different. "That's Captain America right?" I ask.

He nods and looks at both of them "I'll buy this one cause you like it" he tells me and I smile for the hundredth time today.

He walks over to buy the belt and my phone starts ringing.

"Hello"

"Camila are you and Shawn almost done it's getting late" My mom says through the phone. I look at the time and it is getting pretty late.

"I'm sorry Mama we lost track of time, I'll be there soon."

"Would Shawn like to stay for dinner?"

" Hey nerd boy" I call out and he looks back at me.

"Do you wanna come over for dinner?" 

"I can't tonight, I have homework to do." He replies with a disappointed look on his face.

"He can't tonight mom, but I'll be home shortly."

"Okay sweetie be safe and I love you"

"Love you too"

I hang up the phone and Shawn walks up to me with a bag in his hand that I assume is holding his belt.

"I gotta get home. Mind giving me a ride?" I ask

"Of course, your charriot awaits" he says leaning down slightly and holding out his elbow to me.

I giggle and wrap my arm around his "thanks dork"

We walk out of the store and to his mustang. "So what are you really doing tonight besides leaving me for 'homework'?" I ask jokingly while putting quotations around the word homework.

"Camila I swear I really am doing homework I wouldn't lie to you" he says seriously

"I was just kidding I know you're an honest bean"

"You know I always wondered why people say bean, like smol bean, cute bean, or in your case honest bean" He thinks hard as he watches the road.

"Shawn it just means you're cute" I say and watch his face heat up.

"But beans aren't cute"

That was a good point "we-"

"Why can't I be like honest corn, or honest bread? Why bean?" He speaks out loud and I laugh loudly.

"You think way yoo hard into things"

"Well it just confuses me. And you along with everyone else in the school knows that nothing really ever confuses me but this just doesn't make sense."

The whole ride to my house was basically about how something cute shouldn't be called a bean. When he pulls into my driveway I get out of the car and look back at him through the window. "Goodnight nerd boy"

"Goodnight Princess. Thank you for coming on this amazing journey with me" he smile and I giggle.

"I'll see you at school"
