The Good, The Bad, and The Inbetween

             There's always been a line in the sand. Separating one of the two most common opposites. The opposites almost every person, every character, every book or movie plot is based on. These being good and evil, right and wrong, and another word for good and bad. The list can really run on forever. There's the antagonist and the protagonist or the bad guy and the hero. This can really be traced to the simplest and earliest of anything. For instance , video games. Mario the good guy, Donkey Kong the bad guy who has captured Princess Peach, the beautiful damsel in distress.                                                   
              But if you really look into it, it's not that simple. Good guys can be bad, bad guys can be good, and both can be nothing. There's so much pressure put onto those in the categories, that some can forget that they are human or just a character. Good guys can only do good, they have to be willing to go the farthest lengths for something that they might not even believe in and even if they do perfectly we still manage to find fault. This is the same for bad guys, except, of course, they are expected to do bad. Very few games, movies, books, people, recognize this flaw and point it out. 

             Because, in reality, it's really not that black and white. There aren't two colors. There's a whole spectrum of greys in between. In fact, in a logical standpoint, there isn't even black or white. Because no one person can be truly good or truly evil. It's sad that it takes the strongest to see this. Those who look in between the lines are considered weirdos, because they threaten that oh so fragile groove drawn into one of Earth's many soils. They threaten all the close-minded people's way of life. The only way they have ever known. This or that. That or this. One or two. But, it's time to change that. So this is the story of the teenagers who took their faded sneakers, their expensive Jordans, classy heels, and old ankle boots to the line and drug past it.
