Before sun down we arrived back at the hotel, and for some reason I followed her to her room. When we were at her door, she turned and looked at me confused.
"Why did you escort me to my room?" She was leaning against the door of the entrance of her hotel room. Which she looked like she was in the perfect position to be kissed. Through I had to keep the temptation to myself, simply because I don't want another slap in the face.
"Are guys not aloud to do that?" I accidentally moved closer to her, smiling with my charm. I could tell that she noticed that I made the space between us shorter.
"Yes, guys are aloud to do that, through not you." She had her hand on the door knob, ready to leave this situation.
"Why not me?" I took another step closer, and a waft of black tulip hit me. I really need to stop closing the space between us.
"Because..." Her whole body was against the door.
"Because why?" Our faces were so closer, until she stepped into the room.
Which had a couple in the room they were snuggling next to each other in there bed. On the side of my eye, Tatum's face was red like a tomato. Immediately she said to the couple. "Scusa." Which I was sure meant 'sorry'.
I put my hand on Tatum's to grab the door knob so we could close the awkwardness between us and the couple. When the door was shut Tatum's forehead and mine were so close at touching but didn't. I could tell that she could barely breath because she was so embarrassed by what just happened.
She then left the grip of my hand on her's, and walked down the wall. I followed her and she made sure this time was the right room, she turned towards me.
Her eyes were a faded green, probably of the shock that just happened. "Goodnight. She turned back to her door ready to leave me in the hall alone.
I grabbed her wrist to pull her against my chest, through she tried to not make eye contact. Through I continued to look down at her with charm. "Goodnight." I said roughly, because I knew women always fell in love when I spoke like that.
She let go of my grip, still not looking at me. Opened the door, then silently closed it in my face. I am getting a bit frustrated with this, because I am really hating myself for having the habit to sticking to a challenge until I finish it.
I went to the elevator ready to go to my floor, but for some reason I felt guilty for leaving Tatum by herself. I wasn't her body guard or anything, but I just had that feeling deep inside of me. I finally came to my floor, walked up into my hotel room. Clay was on the computer working on emails, managing everything for me. Simply because that's what manger's do.
"Where were you?" He turned to face me as I walked in.
"Out." I slipped off my shoes.
"You can't just leave and not tell me." He waved his hand up in the air.
"Why?" I was unbuttoning my shirt.
"Because you are heading into new pathways to become more famous, and making your empire bigger." He huffed.
"Okay." I took off my ripped blue jeans, then walking over towards my closet.
"If you have zero care in this than why am I even helping you with this?" He got up to follow me.
I slipped on some random cotton shorts. "Clay I do care for my job, it's just..." I walked back into the living room.
Clay was right on my tail, and he looked at my face for a bit trying to figure something out. Until he did, which he stepped right in front of me stopping me from my tracks. "It's about Tatum, Isn't?" He had his eyebrows creased together, and his eyes were baring right into mine.
Through I moved out from his glare and into the kitchen. "No it's not about her." I pulled out a apple from the fridge.
He was a few feet away from me and he had the same face expression as he did in the living room. "Yes it is. You went to go see her today, that's where you went."
I huffed, and took a bite of the red apple. "Okay what if I did." I munched on the apple as I spoke.
"What is with you and her?" He questioned with a confused face.
"There's nothing about her, okay." I took another bite of the apple, than setting my other hand on the black marble counter. And letting my side lean against the white cabinets.
"Yes there is, and from the two times that I went to go speak with her. She seems to have zero interest in you."
I gave him a confused look. "When was the second time?" Because I knew the first time was when he drove us to Venice. I don't know why but I felt little prickles on my neck.
"It was when our bosses was saying that it would be a great idea to work with the amazing rising star Tatum Cadwell." He shrugged, which meant nothing important happened between them. Which the prickles on my neck disappeared.
I was already finished with the apple in a few bites, so as I was walking out of the kitchen I tossed the apple into the trash can. I jumped on the couch, and clicked the on button for the TV to turn on.
"Listen Alfred I can tell that you are sort of caring for Tatum. Because she's not like other girls is she?" He was standing right by the couch, which he doesn't understand how I work. He never does, because he never listens to me.
"No clay that's where your wrong there. I'm only hanging out with her because my stupid mind won't hang up on her. Because she's a challenge for me, and that is to get her in my bed." I sat up as I said those words. And Clay was slowly shaking his head no at me. "How many times do I have to tell you, whats my label?"
He clinched his jaw and spoke. "Your label is a billionaire playboy." I shook my head by that, and he walked off.
I don't know whats with him thinking that I literally have feelings for some stupid girl. She comes from a normal family, she thinks about others so kindly. She's head strong, how could someone like me ever be with someone like her. Even if she did have emotions for me, she wouldn't want to be with a man who take's off his mask and she see's a beast.
