As the sunrise the two girls walked up to where they were going to be beheaded. Alice was first and she, like her sister, had her hair tucked into a bonnet to keep it out of the way. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she walked down to the block. She placed two sacks of gold in the executioners hand and told him that the second bag was for her sister's turn. She gently placed her head down on the block. The axe cut right through her neck in one clean swoop. "No!!!!" Agnes cried as her sister's head hit the ground. She ran forwards, picked up the head and began to sob. Each sob was getting louder and louder. While she was doing this she didn't notice one of the guards handing the executioner a sword nor did she notice him sneaking up on her from behind. He ludged for her head but missed, piecing her chest instead. She turned her head towards him before laying dead beside her sister.
