40 | hopes for the death cure movie

it's honestly so hard to believe that the next movie is already right around the corner (okay, like 6 more months, but still)! i've been waiting in both fear and anticipation, and someone requested i write about what i hope will be in the death cure movie so here it is

[WARNING: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK]

i. more bonding with the boys. we've gotten a very good amount of scenes involving this, and since this is basically a minho-rescue-mission, i'm sure we'll be able to see a lot more!

ii. teresa explaining herself. if you know me, you also know i am a teresa stan and i feel like her "betrayal" in the tst movie was poorly executed. but we could tell at the end of the movie that she never wanted minho to be captured like that, so maybe she'll try to help him? i'd also like to see her have more scenes with boys other than thomas

iii. minho's background. we've got thomas, teresa, and newt's backstories, but almost nothing about minho. i hope jdash has worked with wes on this! maybe W.I.C.K.E.D would remove the swipe from him? or tell him stuff? idk man i just wanna know about minho

iv. less-scary cranks. i think the movies should tone down the cranks and show that they're still people. tst made them a little like zombies, but if they included the crank palace, it would be really cool!

v. the note. yes, i do mean The Note. the one newt gave thomas. it was very important!

vi. sonya and harriet. they are my QUEENS and i really hope we can learn more about them!

vii. gally's return. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLE-

viii. newt's death. THIS MAKES ME SOUND LIKE SUCH A BAD PERSON, but honestly, IT IS A VITAL PART OF THE BOOKS. it would be like chuck not dying

ix. for teresa to go out thE WAY SHE DID IN THE BOOK. dying to save thomas. and i want her last words to be the same god dammit i will FIGHT wes if he changes them

x. more trials. there was a lack of "trials" in tst which i am SUPER upset about, and it would make the W.I.C.K.E.D storyline so much more interesting!

xi. "we need your brain, thomas." CHILLS

xii. more information about what the hell "paradise" is. it's been 3 years since i read the book and i still don't understand. i picture it as a beach? because that's "paradise" to me?? but how did they restart life i'm so confused i need answers wes ball please give them to me.

xiii. the end scene should be ava paige. DEAR GOD PLEASE. HER LAST LETTER READ OUT LOUD AND THEN BLACK SCREEN AND BOOM. ITS OVER.
