Chessa - Why does it have to be like this

Everything is better

Chance:

The next couple of days, everything was perfect. Sure, I was still on a break with Tessa, but we were still friends. Sometimes I feel as if we were better off friends, but whenever I hugged her I still felt sparks in my arms. I know I still love her, and I've completely forgiven her for everything she has done. I wanted her to be my girlfriend again, but I wanted it to be special, so I asked Anthony for advice. 

I spent a whole weekend, planning a perfect date for us. 

It was then Monday, and I had planned everything perfectly.

Tessa:

It was Monday afternoon, and I had just gotten out of the shower from a dance class. As I walked out of the bathroom, I saw a large box, wrapped with a lilac bow. There was a small card on top. I picked it up, and it read:

Tessa. Put this dress and shoes on, and go downstairs where you'll meet Kade.

I was suprised to say the least, and I had no idea what was happening or who this was from. I put the dress on, and I marveled at it's beauty. It fitted me perfectly. I went downstairs, thoughts running through my mind on what this could be.

At the bottom of the steps, Kade was standing there, with a grin plastered on his face.

"Kade...? What's happening?" I asked.

He didn't answer, and instead gave me another card. This time it said:

Tessa. Because i'm nice, i'll only give you a couple of clues. So this is the last one. Head to your favourite place, where we shared our first kiss together.

"The beach?" I thought out loud.

"Yup. The car is waiting outside for you." said Kade.

I cautiously got into the car, confused on what was happening. As we got closer to the 'destination' I saw a beautiful hut type thing on the beach. As the car pulled to a stop, I stepped outside. 

Standing there, next to the beautiful hut, was Chance, all dressed up. As  soon as he saw me, a large smile appeared on his face. I rushed up to him and hugged him as tightly as I could.

"What is all this Chance?" I asked him.

"It's a date" he smiled, as he led me over to the hut.

The hut was full of pillows and blankets, a picnic basket in the middle. Around it, were several candles.

"It's beautiful" I smiled up at him.

We sat down, eating and talking while the sun set on the horizon. 

A couple of hours later, we had finished the food, and I was cuddled up to Chance, with him stroking my hair.

"Tessa" he whispered.

"Yes?" I asked as I looked up at his face.

He smiled and said "We've had a few rough patches in our relationship, but I have completely forgiven you for everything, and I need you back in my life. So will you, Tessa Brooks, be my girlfriend?"

Words couldn't even express how happy I was as I said "Yes".

He smiled, and we both leaned in, kissing each other, with no other feeling than love.

And that, was the happiest moment of my life.
