Jungkook burst through the door, flinging both heavy panels against the wall. His entrance was loud enough to ring throughout most of the mansion – having enhanced senses made it sound louder. Seokjin and Namjoon were the first to appear at the top of the left staircase. Taehyung and Hoseok peeked their heads from the den located to the right of the foyer and Yoongi could be heard grumbling all the way from the kitchen.
"Jungkook-ah, what's wrong?" Seokjin asked, his maternal instincts had him worried, not to mention he could tell something was the matter.
"Hyungs, I think I've found my mate." Jungkook announced.
There was silence among the four that were present and at those words even Yoongi walked in to the foyer. No one said a word because they were baffled, confused by this announcement. Because vampires don't usually – by usually, it means rarely – find a mate. Yes, they find someone, and if they love them enough, they become mates. Finding a mate meant finding a soul mate. Someone you were destined to be with. With vampires that meant so much more. A vampire's soul mate was their other half. Once they meet, they have the same bond as two mated vampires without actually becoming each other's mates.
Namjoon shook his head, wondering how he never noticed this before. He was the oldest vampire in the small coven. He has lived thousands of years. And while he's never met anyone who had found their mate, he's lived long enough to know what it means to find one. He should have seen it in Jungkook.
When he turned the young boy his change took months. He didn't think anything of it. And that's because his human side was still fighting. The reason for the fight was because the human side had something to hold out for. And that was a soul mate. The beast in Jungkook never forgot that.
Seokjin looked up at his mate, seeing Namjoon deep in thought. He too was pretty old and wondered how he did not see the difference in Jungkook when he was a fledgling. Granted, he's just barely grown out of that stage, hence why they allow him to leave to go feed every now and then. But because he's also never met a vampire who had a soul mate, he didn't know what the difference looked like. Apparently he should have known something was different about Jungkook.
He looked down at the younger vampire. "Jungkook-ah, vampires don't...find mates. We just choose the vampire we fall in love with." He explained.
Jungkook shook his head. "No hyung, you don't get it." He began. "My mate is human."

Okay so I had this posted on my other wattpad account but I think it would be better to have it here so I can start new in this fandom. This story is also on AO3 under chastityreso. Anyway this is my one of my first BTS stories. The first I've really gotten in to. I had started a different one before this but anyway.
I love vampires and I love the idea of little human Jimin being in a family of vampires. Ya know, kind of like Bella and the Cullens. Love that series. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this.
