Chapter 2 - part Five End

Start from the beginning

She approached him with quiet, gliding steps. Dimitri watched her carefully to determine what she was trying to do, biting down a yawn as he mentally started dozing off again.

"You would be wise to always keep your wits about you while you are here or anywhere for that matter. If not, you will most likely find yourself...dead!"

As he blinked, Sue's hand suddenly shot toward his neck at a remarkable speed, her fingers aligned to make a knife which threatened to take his head. But at the same time, Dimitri, whose mind was not prepared or capable of reacting in time, suddenly grabbed the hand mid-flight.

Surprised that his body had moved on its own with such precision without him directly commanding it, he simply stared at Sue who was just as astonished.

"She is crafty... I told you to be careful, if it wasn't for me you'd be in trouble right now Dimitri."

You...moved my body for me? You can do that?

"It's not any different than when we first met. I simply choose not to because I feel it is invasive and disrespectful."

With a flick, Dimitri tossed Sue's hand back and at the same time, Dimitri's door burst open revealing Arnett who walked into the room with a very sour expression. As she approached she crossed her arms with her hands clenched around her forearms. A clear sign she was holding back her rage.

"I knew I had heard something. Why does a member of the blackguard appear here at night and disturb a guest in MY home!"

In the back of his mind, Dimitri knew that things were about to get very unpleasant and judging by Sue's face she knew as well. But, unlike Dimitri who was worried about the sequence of events about to unfold, Sue simply turned around with a sly grin to face the upset Valkja who responded with a fake smile of her own.

"It does not concern you Valkja. I was simply having a...late night conversation with the stranger."

Arnett glared at Sue with piercing eyes and began walking forward in an intimidating fashion, the air in the room suddenly very tense. Sue, in response, quickly grabbed her cloak and donned it in a single motion, while at the same time jumping back landing almost on top of Dimitri who stumbled back.

There was a moment where he thought he would fall but as he lost his balance, a hand grabbed Dimitri by his collar.

"Unhand him Sue! I do not know what your intentions are but I will not allow you to touch him! You and your brother bring nothing but misfortune! Do not think I will hesitate in subduing you!"

"How scary! One correction though. this isn't something that involves "the blackguard". it only involves myself!" Replied Sue in snide tone.

"And what is that supposed to mean?"

Suddenly, Dimitri found himself in midair as Sue lifted him over her shoulder and tossed him at Arnett with apparently no effort.

He felt the world flip as he was sent coursing through the air and for an instant, Dimitri had a flashback as he closed his eyes of when he was a child and had fallen from a very high set of jungle gyms. Back then his friends had simply watched him fall and laughed afterwards as he cried, which had left an impression on his body that manifested now as it automatically braced itself for a painful impact.

But as he felt himself start heading toward the floor, he felt him momentum stop after making contact with something that was firm but soft at the same time.
