Using the lights on the wall as a guide, Dimitri and Arnett walked back through the caverns to the main room and reached the entrance a few seconds later. The small room looking much larger and more menacing now that it was empty. The singular source of light looking even more meager by comparison.

"Quickly now."

When Dimitri looked back at Arnett he saw that her stern gaze had returned and that it was fixed on something past the door that blocked their path. Dimitri looked in the same direction and gingerly began opening the door. The wood letting out an eerie creak as it moved.

Guess her "friendly" attitude was just temporary...figured it was going too smoothly.

Yet before the door could open all the way it stopped suddenly, refusing to open any further. With a grunt, Dimitri tried yanking at the handle but to no avail.
"Is there a problem Dimitri? You seem to be having some trouble."

Out of all the things that could go wrong, Dimitri hadn't expected the door to be one of them. He had predicted betrayal, lies, and even trickery of the people he would meet but he hadn't predicted that the door, that was supposed to let him out, would not function. With an exasperated sigh, he turned back toward Arnett, his stare flat now.

"...well...uh. Yea, sorry."

One of the many things that Dimitri had come to realize throughout his encounters thus far was that the brown-haired beauty behind him could be a very serious person and could be very easily annoyed. So, when he turned around to show her that the door was jammed, he expected a very aggressive reaction. Her eyes proving his point as she nudged him aside to try and open the door, having the same amount of success as Dimitri had.

After many failed attempts though, Arnett took a deep breath and tried to force the door open, letting out a growl." Lousy Door!"

"What should we do now, the door is stuck. Is there another way out?"

"Unfortunately, there is not Dimitri, but let me try this" said Arnett as she propped a leg into the ground as if bracing for something.

With a strong tug, Arnett began using her leg as leverage to try and pull the door open, her face turning red from the amount of effort she was putting in. Eventually the door began creaking and a cracking sound resonated from the wood. Ignoring these sounds, Arnett continued pulling until the door burst open with a final crack, finally revealing what laid behind it.

Surprised by her method of solving the problem, Dimitri stood there in awe as Arnett dusted herself off and kicked away pieces of the now broken door. Its fragments now strewn across the floor.

"Well Dimitri? Go on out there, we don't have all day."

As he walked over the debris, he noticed the bright flicker of what seemed to be light from a fire and warmth wrapped itself around his body for the first time since he had come to this world, the feeling being intoxicating and comforting his body. Once out coming across a sight he hadn't expected.

Immediately in his line of sight upon exiting the cavern, stood a young girl who looked around seventeen, with shoulder length blue hair that was messy but oddly cute. Sporting a warm smile she was accompanied by five others of seemingly similar age forming two parallel lines, with the elder standing at the end of the path. At the moment, their eyes were filled with suspicion yet they wore their smiles flawlessly, reaching out with their hands, gesturing him to move through the path they made.
