Spooked, Dimitri continued looking around but eventually laid down in his bed to rest. Deciding that he had been so tired that he had imagined a voice. The cold tone of the statement still bothering him as his mind whisked him away to a deep sleep.
"Dimitri! Dimitri wake up! Wake up! NOW!"
Wh-what? I just went to...sleep...I'm tired Joan...ugh...
After what felt like a second of sleep, Dimitri begrudgingly opened his eyes again, a haze heavy in his mind as his vision struggled to discern the environment around him once more.
"Wh-what is it Joan that you woke me up... I need sleep, I'm human after all."
"Oh? You are? That is quite interesting. I would have never guessed. Tell me Dimitri, who is this Joan?"
His vision finished clearing and on top of him was a slender white-haired beauty with a calm but alarming smile on her face.
"Is something the matter?"
"well, aside from the fact that I went to sleep alone and I'm suddenly awake with you on top of me, no not much is the matter. I am losing valuable sleep time though which is pretty important to me as a person."
"Oh I see, are you not acting rather calm for a person in this kind of situation? If you have awoken surely you have sensed my bloodlust and should be fearing for your life or preparing to fight. Yet here you are calmly talking to me."
"Well, Me freaking out in this situation doesn't help anyone. Besides, if you wanted to kill me, you would have done it quickly before I even had a chance to wake up."
Amused by his response, Sue scoffed and got off Dimitri as he lifted himself up from his laying position. The voice he had thought he had heard making much more sense as he assessed the situation. The hay in his hair dislodging itself as he shook his head.
"So? To what do I owe this "Honor" of having a member of the blackguard visit me so late at night when I am trying to rejuvenate myself for tomorrow."
"Heh, you are a cocky one, speaking in that tone to me. I am here without my brother on a personal affair. Unlike Rue, I am curious as to why the Valkja is so interested in you, much more so after seeing you in the river race and the Moon dance. I could hardly control myself with my curiosity so I came here."
"Well, IF it's a Q and A you are looking for...can it wait until the morning? If you haven't noticed, I'm extremely tired. Catching some Z's is right up my alley right now, not sating your curiosity...no offense. "
Not that I will probably have any choice, Dimitri reflected.
At the same time, he realized that Sue was backing away from him. Her dark brown eyes glowing menacingly as she stared in the direction of his head.
"ok, I'm starting to get the feeling you didn't come here to talk. Sue? Come on now..."
"...as astute as ever. Prepare yourself! Let me find out for myself just what is so special about you!"
"Oh come on! I just wanted to rest! Why now! You've GOT to be kidding me!"
The sharpness and intensity of Sue's gaze increased to the point that Dimitri's body spiked itself with adrenaline merely by making eye contact and immediately after, he rolled off his bed back onto his two feet.
