Reign:

The sun was just starting to rise and the sweet tune of the blackbirds echoed through the empty streets of LA. Reign lets out a harsh sigh of exhaustion as she pushes open the school doors and makes her way down the unusually deserted hallway. She had decided to head to school earlier than usual so that she could finish a history paper that she had been putting off since the day it was assigned. The rush of this new city had meant that the usual workaholic just couldn't find the willpower to get anything done; heading to school early meant that she could be sure that there would be no distractions. Stuffing her folders and phone into her bag, the girl reaches out for the coffee she had just ordered from the vending machine. Eyeing the cup suspiciously, she was almost certain it would taste like dirt but at least it would give her energy for the day ahead.

Looking down at her baggy sweatshirt, the girl curses under her breath; she had completely forgotten to iron it. Reign always dressed for comfort rather than fashion yet her clothes always seemed to look effortlessly stylish on her. Although they were unpressed, her clothes fitted her body in all the right places which caused her to look chic without the demand of effort. Most importantly she felt cosy and able to face the day. There was something oddly depressing to her about tight clothes and heels but almost all the other girls in school clearly thought otherwise.

"Reign Foxx to my office. I repeat Reign Foxx to my office."

As she's about to make her way into the library, Mr Cole's sharp timbre echoes through the hallway causing the girl to stop in her tracks immediately. During her early years at her previous high school, she was never called into the Principal's office unless she was getting herself shouted at for one reason or the other; that had changed a long time ago and she knew for sure that she hadn't done anything at Weston High that was worth the rant.

Furrowing her eyebrows, the girl reluctantly turns away from the library doors and makes her way to his office. She couldn't help but feel as if the universe just didn't want her to get any work done; even when she tried to avoid distractions, they always seemed to somehow manage to get her. She sends the receptionist a thankful smile as she hands her a pass and motions towards his large office doors. Walking carefully, Reign bites her bottom lip as she tries not to spill her coffee. It was always when she tried to be careful that she became the clumsiest. Finally, she reaches the end of the corridor and knocks on his door.

"Come in." His smooth and affirmative voice calls. Tucking the piece of hair that had dropped to her face behind her ear, she turns the knob. As she walks into his vast office, she instantly relaxes after realising that they were not alone. Two men in suits with large shades, who looked like they had just come off the set of Men in Black, were sitting in his leather chairs with their backs facing her. On the other side of the room, there were also a few of her fellow students huddled awkwardly in a corner but no one she knew or recognised. She couldn't help but feel like she'd walked into a parent-teachers conference. Mr Cole meets her eye and welcomes her in before gesturing to the two men in front of her.
