The world is black,
That I know.
I laugh it of,
But the pain seems to grow.
In this world of people,
I am but one.
Will anyone ever see,
What it is I've done.
Work hard,
Keep your head down,
That's what they say to me.
In this world of people,
You can never truly achieve.
All ways someone better,
Brighter or bold.
Your moment to stardom,
Is soon to be old.
In this world of people,
Let me be.
Loving one another,
Has never been the key.
Scarcely alone,
Never quiet.
In this world of people,
Everyone's in riot.
