"I'm Toothless and this is Hiccup, a Human, like you."

    "I don't know what a 'human' is..."

    "Have you ever seen yourself?"

    "Yes."

"You're not like the other dragons are you?"

    You growled, how dare he!

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to- to make you upset."

"I AM a dragon." You were a dragon. You were a dragon. You were a dragon. You were a dragon. You were a dragon.

The human, Hiccup, looked from you to Toothless and back to you.

    "I'm."

Toothless looked up at you, "You aren't a dragon. I'm sorry."

    "I'm the princess."

"I can tell. But, princess, would you consider coming with us?"

    "Why?"

"You can meet others like you... and my human-"

    "Your human?"

    "He is my friend."

    "He?"

"Yes. My human can give you cloth too, like the ones he is wrapped in. It's some kind of human tradition. I believe this is why he refuses to look at you."

"Why don't you leave? You can come live with us... me and my husband."

    "Hiccup helps me fly."

    "He- He helps you fly."

"Yeah, I can't fly without him."

"Could- Could he help me fly?"

"I don't know. Probably, he flies sometimes."

    "I want to come."

You pulled yourself up onto Toothless' back. He purred at Hiccup who had been standing in silence behind him. The human climbed onto Toothless' back in front of you. The human hissed at you.

"He said 'Hold on'." You wrapped your arms around him. His face changed color like a Changewing, only instead of changing to fit into it's surroundings, he did quite the opposite. His red cheeks contrasted so brightly against the green trees.

Slowly her hands pulled the flowers though your h/c hair.  Astrid pulled the white fur over your body. The other half of your dress, metal, dragon scale armor.

Five years had passed of you living with the humans. You had  learned how to communicate with people and you got better everyday.

You sat, quietly, pulling at the things around your body. They were knew and they were uncomfortable but Hiccup insisted you wear them.

"Clothes." Hiccup hed your arm, keeping you from taking them off.

          "Clothes," You repeated.

"Yes, amazing." You tilted your head. He smiled, "Amazing."

You smiled back, a human instinct.

Eventually Hiccup realised that he had feelings for you.

"Y/n. I think you're beautiful," Hiccups face turned red.

"Beautiful? Like the flowers we saw?"

"Yes. Just like the flowers." You leaned into him.

          "You are beautiful too, Hiccup."

You told him about your life with the dragons, and the insecurities you had while you were with them. Never feeling like you belonged. Not really. Your husband hadn't ever sparked your interest but the protection it gave your family was what was important.  He loved you insecurities, and he helped you to fly.

"I want to fly, Hiccup," You told him one day, "Like my dragon family."

"I'll make you a suit. You can glide just like me, it's as close as humans can get to flying."

          "I'd like that."

Finally,  you felt like you belonged, like you had a place and you had love.

Today was the day you became a chieftess. It also happened to be the day you got scales, you thought looking down at the armor.

"Alright, you're done." Astrid smiled at you, stepping back. You smiled back and turned to look at your reflection.
