What?
Your story sometimes becomes boring or routine like. If you pay attention you will notice that the first chapters always gets more reads than the rest and that is because many readers stop reading half way through. So you need to keep them waiting and reading.
How?
1) cliffhangers: If you feel like your readers are getting bored then you need to end your chapters making them wanting more. Try to either make your chapter end in the middle of an event, or promising an event to occur later or maybe with something exciting happening such as in the middle of a conversation, a confession or a major reveal.
2) regular updates: Keep your updates in a schedule so that your readers don't get bored waiting. If your book is not updated for a while people could stop reading it or even forget what it was about.
3) binge updates: This is when you update 3 or more chapters at once or update the whole book at once. This way the reader can read it all at once if they want to.
4) extra chapters: check next chapter for this.
