If you can identify it then you can twist or avoid it!
How?:
Ask yourself, how can we make the idea better?
Simple: change it a little, make it more realistic or maybe even add an unexpected twist to the end.
Tips:
Here are some ways to flip the whole story:
1) a main character dies (TFIOS)
2) the girl and the boy go separate ways (cuz that's real life, school ends and we leave everything behind)
3) the main character discovers that they are LGBTQ+
4) the characters fight and the main character finds a new friend!
5) Cliffhanger end (will be talking about soon)
