"(Y/N), she's amazing in every way. I wish I knew how I could ask her out." My best friend, Shawn, told me about his crush, Camila.
He talks about her a lot, I could listen for days, just to hear him talk. I have a crush on him. Obviously, he doesn't feel the same.
"You could take her out and then ask her like at the end of the date, maybe when you take her home or something." I told him. I decided to be a good friend and give him advice.
"That's a great idea! Thanks, (Y/N). I don't know what I'd do without you." He smiled.

"It's a beach boardwalk date! What do I wear?!" Shawn asked, panicking.
"Hawaiian shirt and khakis." I said and handed him some clothes.
"Okay, thanks." He smiled.
"Now, go get ready and go have fun." My voice cracked and I smiled weakly.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Your voice cracked, like you're gonna cry." He said with a weird look.
"Me? No." I said with a slight laugh.
But then my eyes started tearing up, giving it all away.
"(Y/N), you better tell me what's wrong." He crossed his arms. "I'm not getting ready until I know."
"I'minlovewithyouanditpainsmetoseeyou'reinlovewithCamilabutIwantyoutobehappysoItrytoignorethefactthatyoulikeherandnotme." I managed to get out before I broke into sobs.
"Slow the fuck down. Repeat everything you said." He said.
I sighed. "I'm in love with you and it pains me to see that you're in love with Camila but I want you to be happy so I ignore the fact that you like her and not me."
He was silent for a while. "Why didn't you tell me before?"
"I didn't think you'd feel the same." I looked at him.
"Well, I honestly do." He said. "I don't actually like Camila in a crushy way. I I just wanted you to be jealous."
"Really?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Well..."
"Well, what?" He asked.
"What are you gonna do about Camila? I don't think you'd want to stand her up."
"I'll call her after this."
"After wh-"
He smashed his lips against mine. It was so right. I kissed back. I smiled in the kiss. Life couldn't be any better right now.
