Warning: This book starts off with really bad grammar but does get a bit better as you progress. As of Sept. 1st 2016 all of my stories are officially on hold.

Raven's POV*

"Wake up Raven, its time to go to school," Mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"Why do I have to go to a vampire school again?" I asked, surprised that she would send me basically back to my death. Maybe I'm over-reacting...Oh well.

"Because they've changed hun, you need to see that." She said.

"They don't simply just 'change' mom." I muttered.

As you can probably tell, vampires aren't my favourite supernatural creature. You see, my dad was one. He tried to kill me. But that was years ago.

****Flashback****

"Raven, come over here please," My dad yelled.

I walked to him, "Yeah?"

"Come with me."

My father is such a demanding man, but vampires are like that and I guess I just have to suck it up. He stopped outside his bedroom door.

"Come in here," He said.

I walked in, I've never seen his room, ever. It was huge. Picasso paintings lined the walls- fakes, though. His walls were a dark beige and it was very dimly lit in this massive room.

"So wh-" I began, suddenly I'm up against a wall, my throat in his sweaty hands.

I screamed loudly, terror coursing through my veins. "Shut up!" he hissed and let me down.

"Why did you do that?" I finally choked out.

"I said SHUT UP" He yelled.

After awhile he spoke, "You were supposed to be a boy, marry the princess and bring royalty to the family. I thought maybe when you were younger you could shift so that you could at least be special.. but no. You could have been royalty... But you had to be a girl, a worthless girl." He spat.

"Don't let him get to you, Raven," My wolf, Jenna, said to me. No one knew I could shift, or that I had wolf for that matter. I kept it a secret, because I am a red wolf, the rarest of the rare. Some say they are destined for greatness, I say, not.

"I hoped when you were younger you could shift, but you never did," He repeated.

"Now I'm going to finish you. I'll enjoy it, too."

He pushed me up against the wall on once again, while grasping a silver knife to my stomach. In his eyes I may not have shifted, but I am still a wolf. Silver and wolfs bane is basically a death wish for werewolves.

"No, please, no," I begged

Suddenly I felt a burning pressure on my stomach. He's going kill me, my own father would kill me.

Soon the pressure, and the pain, increased. I winced, but this only made him laugh.

"What a sick bastard," I winced again, talking to my wolf.

"Yeah I know," she said, "He can't do this to us, we haven't even met our mate yet," She sobbed.

"Then take over," I whispered.

"Ok," Slowly I felt my control slip away.

"You can't do this," Jenna shouted, while kicking my so called father across the room.

"Nice touch," I linked her.

"Thanks." She linked back

Suddenly my father was standing in front of me, "What did you just say to me?" he growled.

"Did I stutter? I said, YOU CANT DO THIS!" My wolf yelled.

Jenna then shifted. "Wha-" My father gasped, but it was cut short, by my teeth ripping through his throat.

Before I knew it, four gaurds stormed in aiming their guns at me. Before I could make peace, they fired.

I felt a searing pain in my shoulder as I fell to the ground.

"He has to be put down. You know how dsngerous it is." I heard someone say.

"Not until I see who he is," My friend Kalib said.

Foolishly, I got up. Only fall down again, "He's awake" A guard said.

"Shift, now," Kalib commanded.

I did what he said, therefor causing them to gasp. "Raven?" Kalib asked.

"Jenna," My wolf corrected, "I'm Raven's wolf," she explained.

"But Raven doesn't have a wolf," The guard smirked.

"Let alone a red one." Kalib said.

"Clearly she does," My wolf spat back in anger. See, wolves were notorious for having a short temper.

"Give me control," I said.

Slowly I felt myself regain control.

"Kalib can you let me out?"

"I don't believe you are who you say you are," he said

"Kalib-" he cut me off "Do not call me that, Jenna,"

"It's Raven now," I said.

"I don't believe you," He exclaimed.

"How else would I be here?"

"Your a witch," he said.

"Yep, because a witch can turn into a wolf," I said sarcastically.

"Do not speak to me that way, peasant"

"I am no peasant, Kalib"

"Show me the scar, if you are Raven"

"Kalib I don't kno-"

"I knew you weren't Raven," He spat.

"Kalib, remember last year at band camp you played a song on the piano, do you remember that song?"

He nodded his head,

"River flows in you, Yiruma."

"And you know this why?" Marley said

"Kalib knows," I said.

"You are to address him as Prince Kalib." he said angrily, unlocking my cell and before I knew it, his hand came in contact with my face, knocking me down to the cold and hard ground.

"What the hell was that for Marley?"

"Guards take this slave to the torture room," Marley spat, glaring.

"No," Kalib said sternly. "Bring her to me," he added.

The guards got me up and took me to Kalib.

"Raven," he breathed.

"Yeah?"

"Why did you try to kill your dad?"

"He was no father of mine,"

"He was,"

"Then why did he try to kill me?"

"He would never,"

I showed him the mark the silver knife gave me, "Why would he do that?" he asked in disbelief.

"Apparently I'm a worthless girl that should've shifted and who should have been a boy." I said.

"Don't listen to that old hag, he doesn't know what he's missing."

"Well he's dead now so..." I trailed off, shrugging my shoulders.

"Uh about that..." I tilted my head a little, showing my confusion.

"He isn't dead."
