Makenna POV:
After awhile the doorbell rang at my house. I opened it to see Bart standing in front of all of the other guys, who were crowded behind him. "Come in." I said, opening the door fully. They all filtered through, looking around. "Are you sure this is okay with your parents?" Bart asked. "They're totally fine with it. They've gone over to our neighbor's house to spend the night there so that you could have their room." I said. "What about us?" One of the boys said. "Half of you can sleep in the family room and the other half of you can sleep in the bonus room upstairs." I said. Meghan and I would sleep in my room, which shared a wall with the bonus room.
Soon the boys were playing around and....well, being boys. They were too loud for me not to go and investigate. I walked out of my room and to the entrance of the bonus room. Most of the guys were playing Foosball or watching TV. A couple of guys were on their phones. Hunter and Jacob were supposed to be sleeping in the bonus room, but I didn't see them at all....weird. Maybe they just went to get food from the kitchen. I started down the stairs, letting my thoughts take over my mind. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. My foot missed a step and I started to fall. I freaked out. I shut my eyes tight and prepared myself for the pain and embarrassment that would come after all of this...... But I never hit the ground.
Hunter POV:
Me and Jacob had gone downstairs to grab some food and we decided to head upstairs after some time. The boys down in the family room were so loud, I was surprised Bart didn't come downstairs and yell at them to shut up. I started to head upstairs when I saw Makenna looking around. Next thing I know, she tripped and was falling toward me. Everything happened so fast. I just guess it was a reflex for me to reach out and try to catch her before she fell. I would never be able to live with myself if she got hurt when I could have saved her. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close. She's safe with me. And I never want to see her hurt. If she's hurt, I'm hurt. But I can't be hurt. I have to be strong. For her. So that I can catch her when she falls. (Lol, no pun intended😂) Then all I can see are these big blue eyes staring at me. I was happy that she was alright.
Makenna POV:
Someone had caught me. I opened my eyes to see Hunter staring right back at me. My arms were wrapped around his neck and he had his arms around my waist, holding me tight. I honestly didn't want him to let go. He smiled at me, which made me blush. I looked away and smiled, trying to hide my reddening cheeks. "Quite a stumble you had there, huh?" He said quietly, as to not embarrass me further. Great, I thought. Now he knows how much of a klutz I am. Great job messing up in front of your crush, Makenna. "Yeah," I said. "I guess you could say I'm still trying to get used to these noodles that I have for legs." Hunter laughed. Man, I love his laugh. It's so adorable. "Makenna, are you okay?" Meghan said. She was starting down the stairs towards me and Hunter. "Slow down, we don't want another near-accident." I jumped at the voice. Jacob was now standing next to Hunter. He had been at the bottom of the stairs and watched the whole thing happen. Meghan stood facing me and Hunter. Hunter helped me up to a standing position, but kept his arms around my waist. "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks to Hunter." I nodded my head in his direction. He held me a little tighter. Meghan was looking at Jacob and blushed. I could tell she had a major crush on him. But they would make an adorable couple. "Look at the two lovebirds!" Hunter said. Both Meghan and Jacob smiled and looked at the ground. "Us? Look at you two." Jacob said with a grin. I blushed. "Anyway, how about we just catch up on whatever's going on?." Hunter said. "Good idea." Jacob added. He was staring right at Meghan and she smiled. "Wanna sit and talk?" I suggested. "Sure." The boys said in unison. They both look at each other slightly bewildered, then laughed. I motioned for them to sit down on the steps. We talked for a long time. Nothing specific, just whatever came up or whatever was on our minds. It was pretty fun to just be able to sit there and talk with Hunter. Then all of the sudden Hunter got up and turned toward me. "Hunter wh-" I started to say, but Hunter cut me off. He quickly pinned my arms down and then leaned in. My heart beat quickened. Our lips met. His kiss was soft and sweet. I immediately kissed him back. I closed my eyes. After a couple more seconds he pulled away. He still hovered over me, his face just inches from mine. He loosened his grip on my arms. "Get a room you too!" Jacob said, chuckling. I couldn't believe it. I just had my first kiss with my celebrity crush Hunter Rowland!
