chapter 6/ troubles to tell the truth

(Jieun's POV)

I woke up a little earlier so I could prepare breakfast for him. I opened the fridge, "there's plenty of ingredients in here, who bought all of these?". Itook out some eggs, bacon, garlic bread and strawberrys to decorate. I looked at the ingredients and smiled. "he better enjoy this meal, not much people get to eat food I cook."

After I finished cooking, there were left over strawberries so I decided to make strawberry smoothies.

"there!" I whispered to myself. Just then, I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "good morning" Hongki said. He looked at the dining table, "wow! You prepared so much! I guess you can cook" he smiled. After we finished eating, we got changed and soon enough, dad was here to drive us to school. When we got to school, we walked seperate ways so no-one will suspect us.

Suzy and Yuri came to me and we walked to class. At lunch, we went to the cafeteria, sat down and Suzy started talking. "Can I tell you a secret? Promise not to tell anyone though" Yuri and I both nodded. "I find Hongki kind of hot, and I'm beginning to grow a crush on him." She said. At that moment, I knew I was in trouble. Yuri and I both dropped our mouths opened but for different reasons. Yuri didn't like him for his arrogance and I am going to be his future wife. Suzy blushed. I felt like I needed to tell them or else things are going to get worse.

"Guys... I have something to tell you" I took a deep breath and continued, "ummm... I am going to ge..." my sentence got cut off because someone was covering my mouth. I turned around to see who it was and it was Jiyoung. "She's going to get... um... something for you guys, she said it was a surprise but nearly ended up telling you, is that right, Jieun?" Jiyoung asked which I ended up nodding since I didn't know what was happening. She pulled me out of the cafeteria and to the courtyard.

"Jieun... please understand well... I have liked Hongki all along, he's the only one who can truly care for me..." She wanted to continue but I stopped her this time. "I know... Hongki likes you as well, but if I had a choice to not get married, I wouldn't of, I also... have someone I like" I couldn't believe I was confessing here, no-one knows, not even my friends (or the reader, you'll find out soon) she paused for a moment, "sorry... but I really can't get over him" she looked down at the ground and tears were about to come out of her eyes.

"I know how it feels like to love someone and you can't be together, even know we're married, but I know he loves you." I looked at her and hugged her. So the whole conversation ended and I decided not to tell anyone that me and Hongki are getting married.

Hongki and I walked to his mum's house after school and heard shocking news at dinner, this is what my mum said, "we've decided, you guys are getting married in three weeks! Jieun, Hongki's mum and I will be helping you pick your wedding dress!" at that moment my brain was like, should I tell my friends? What about Jiyoung? and What about... Kyuhyun?
