{Scarlett's POV}

Scared was an understatement. I was terrified. I have never seen Christian this mad before. Alpha Mason being here didn't help it either.

When we entered Christian's office, they pushed us towards the couch and we both sat practically holding onto each other. The drive over was so quiet I was afraid to breath too loud and make them mad.

"I cannot even describe how angry I am." Christian said folding his arms leaning against the front of his desk.

Is it bad to be thinking of how hot he looks doing that? Yes

"You don't have to it's okay." Octavia said to Christian.

"No smart remarks while we're talking either." Mason snapped.

"Okay dad." I mocked without thinking.

I really do have no filter.

They both shook their head in disbelief.

"What made you lie to us? Was it something we did?" Mason asked. Gosh, he sounds like my mom when she caught me drunk for the first time.

"We were sick of doing nothing all the time! I love spending time with you Christian but sometimes I'm going to want to spend time with my friends. Im going to want to at least act normal and go out with a bodyguard. I know what we did was stupid and childish, but sometimes you have to let me breathe." I said and he sighed pinching the bridge of his nose.

"It's not safe!"

"Nothing's safe anymore!" I yelled back.

"You could of gotten hurt, hell you almost did. Be grateful I was there in time." He snapped and I rolled my eyes.

"Please, I could have handled him. Just like I handled that hunter." Me and Octavia's eyes widened when we noticed I let meeting hunters slip out.

"What did you just say?" Mason gritted out.

"We may or may not have ran out of gas so we decided to walk to the power pack. Then hunters showed up. They're currently tied up in our trunk." I mumbled wanting this to be over quickly as possible.

"I cannot believe this." Christian said standing up looking exasperated.

"Whose idea was this?" Mason asked.

"Mine." Octavia said.

"Though, that guard really shouldn't have been with us in the first place, then maybe we would have stayed and didn't feel the need to go against the rules." She added.

"Would you really have stayed?" Mason asked.

"Probably not... but it's the though that counts." She said with a sharp tone adding more fuel to the flame.

"This...this is why I never wanted a mate! I don't want to have to babysit someone! If you die, I die! So, now I'm going to have to constantly worry you're not trying to do something stupid. You're an immature teen Octavia! Grow the hell up." Mason yelled and I let out a loud growl.

"Hey, back off." I snapped as I seen her look down with tears in her eyes.

"And here I was telling her you were such a great guy, Mason, yeah...you're a dick."

"Scarlett!" Christian scolded.

"What Christian? You gonna say you basically hate your mate too?" I said standing up pulling Octavia up with me.
