It's always been you,
Funny how I never realized.
It always feels like something new,
Even if it was only memories revised.
The way you look,
Every time you see me in the hallway,
It got me on the hook,
And all I wanted to do was stay.
I remembered what we were :
Best friends turned to lovers.
My memory might be a little blur,
But I miss how we were under the covers.
Now that you're gone,
All I can do is grief,
And as dark turns into dawn,
I wish time was never a thief.
And I wish I'd known back then.
