A love like seaweed wrapped around my ankles
Not pulling me down, but keeping me under
Unable to move, unable to breathe
Only to feel the water filling my lungs
Like a sinking ship being swallowed by the sea
I am being swallowed by the sea
Gasping for air like I desperately reach for your hand
But it is not there
Because you are not there
You were never there
You never tried to save me
It just appeared that way from beneath the ripples of water
Your love kept me under
Your loved swallowed me whole
But mine let you float
It let you swim
You were swimming
While letting me drown
