Once upon a time, we all witnessed a "personality switch" between Yuu and Mika.

Yuu suddenly became the more cheerful one and Mika became the more grumpy one.

But why does Mika say that he hasn't really changed?

Fortunately, I have an explanation, which I hope will provide a new way of looking at the scene for some of you.

We'll have to jump back to memory lane: aka the feels-fest called chapter one.

If he's gonna think, he has to have Yuu shut up before he goes crazy.

So here's what I hypothesized:

What I circled in blue shows that, maybe rather than hesitation (which I initially assumed) in actually telling him, Mika could actually be thinking about the plan at that moment. Mika thinking of a plan shows a strong parallel to the first couple of pages of chapter one.

Mika going into thinking-mode is so familiar to Yuu. The latter finds this adorably hilarious, so he starts teasing Mika by acting out the loud, annoying kid he was back then (though he technically still is one). In the end, Mika's reaction is absolutely priceless.

In the end, taking into account Yuu's unchanging kindness and annoying inner-child, Mika may have found that the small, but special aspects of Yuu have never really changed.
