It was no different than any other night.

The once three best friends meet at a movie. They enjoy it. They leave.

That's when the men showed up.

They showed up from nowhere and left into the shadows. They destroyed a piece of Scarlet's life by killing the only person she loves and trust more than anything  while Scarlet can only watch as a boy that claims he has to protect her holds her away from view. Once she meets him, her life changes.

The simple life she once knew was taken away from her as she is cast into a world she didn't know existed. She finds others like her, but is an outcast because of her strange yet powerful abilities that seem unlike anything anyone has ever seen. She must always be protected by the mysterious boy that saved her life, and train for the war of the worlds.
