"What are you blabbering about?" Says Emma.

"I was wondering where your voice went, Ems," "Don't call me that" She interrupted,

"You typically talk more, sometimes even more than Evelyn here." Phillip said as he was nodding in my direction.

Emma's fiery red locks went perfectly with her personality. She always spoke her mind and is a bit unstable. I think there might just be a tiny, yet slightly growing all the time, twinkle of insanity.

"An expose' on high school popularity." Before I could scream the obvious through Phillip's skull, Ryan surpassed my reaction speed.

"But none of us are popular." Ryan piped in.

"I know that. Ergo why I said it would be difficult." Philip said. He was talking much more than usual.

"I think you mean 'hence'. And you never said anything about difficulty. You can't even remember your own statements!" I corrected.

Phillip made his sound of frustration again. I love when he emits rage like that. It's pretty funny to watch. I felt awful for enjoying it, but then I remembered how funny it was, and enjoyed it again.

It's been that way all year when it came to Philip. He'd try so hard to surpass my vocabulary that he sometimes misused the words. I liked Phil, he was cool, I guess. Not that I have the ideal radar for "cool".

"Jonathan, Do you know what I'm talking about?" Phil asked, ignoring me now.

"Jonathan has his own mind, Phil. The only reason he doesn't show it is because he thinks that you can easily terminate him. Fight your own battles." I said, while slowly shaking my head in disapproval.

At this, Phil got really close to myself. His ham sandwich's scent eminating from his breath. I wanted to slink away to avoid it, but I stood my ground. His face just inches from mine. I actually thought he was going to kiss me for a moment.

"I shouldn't have to fight ANY battles with you, Evelyn." He said, slowly and quietly.

"So, as I was saying, we are going to do an expose' on high school popularity. And I know," He spoke this part quickly so as to avoid interruption."that none of us are popular enough to know how popularity works. So one of us is going to have to go, undercover. Whoever does this will have to go incognito. Who, is to be decided. Right now."

"I vote Sierra!" I almost shout.

His head turns to me. As does everyone else.

"No. Just. No. Popularity and 'girly things' are everything I detest!"

"Speak like a normal person Evelyn! Or should I say Evie?" Philip said menacingly. I felt a chill go down my spine, even though he was about as menacing as a puppy.

"Don't call me that. And I am NOT doing this! What about Emma? She loves spy work!"

"Not when it comes to this!" She said, rather bluntly.

"What if I called it incognito?" I tried.

"Tempting, but no." She said with finality, thus diminishing my tiniest shred of hope.

"You, you can't be serious. Phil? Come on! I was just teasing! You know I love you! Please don't make me do this. I'll quit!"

"You wouldn't quit even if I fired you. You breathe this newspaper. And you are doing this." He said, getting in kissing distance yet again. It kind of creeped me out.

"I'm not adequate! Sierra is prettier than I am! What about Emma? Hey, Jonathan is prettier than I am. Why does it have to be a girl anyway?"

"Oh it doesn't. It does however, have to be you." He was growing creepier and creepier. If I hadn't known him forever, I would have thought he was going to murder me. He was a bit too close. Something was up with him.

"Are you okay, Phil? You seem a bit more ominous than usual." He responded with an obviously false smile.

"I'm perfect." Something was DEFINITELY up. Was he high? I was about to ask him that very question when the bell rang.

Finality hung in the air. There was no getting out of this. I was going to have to do this. Unless I dropped out of school, I had to become everything that I despise to the core of my being. Maybe I'll learn something. Maybe I'll learn why every girl in that group seems to gossip as if their pure beings would be sacrificed to a grizzly death if they didn't.

It was time to become the complete opposite of me.------------------------------------

HAHA! I did it! I wrote another chapter! I hope to get some more views. The story is a dearth in that aspect. I'm gonna post a reminder about this story in Spy School and if you are reading this from what you read on spy school, then, I hoped you enjoyed it! This is going to be a bit better writing-wise. There won't be as much butt-kicking stuff, but it'll still have the same humor. (If you read Spy School, Emma is the equivilent to Kendra. Just wait until I get her going.)
