Chapter 1 ~ The Daily Dose Of Entertainment

"Let me go!" I screamed out in protest as Aaron grabbed onto my long silver hair and pulled me to the ground. My head slammed against the wooden floorboards with force, and I looked up at my oppressor with fear.

"Shut up stupid!" he sneered, standing over me with authority and determination. He held an evil glint in his eyes, and I did not want to know what he had in store for me today.

I tried to scramble back up but he placed his leather boot to my chest and shoved me back down with force.

"That hurt!" I cried out, tears forming in my eyes.

"That was the point! See you really are stupid!" he laughed loudly, drawing the attention of other people in the room.

"Hey guys! Aarons beating up Mashiro again!" a kid screamed from somewhere in the room.

After hearing that, children of all ages began crowding around us, laughing at me and cheering on my bully.

A few of Aaron's best friends stepped out of the crowd and stood beside him. They began slamming their boots into my stomach violently. Holding back sobs, I curled into a ball to protect myself from their oncoming blows.

Some of the kids began to taunt me, and call me names.

"Weirdo!" a girl called.

"Looser" a boy screamed.

Then some of the kids began to sing their chant.

"Mashiro the lonely loner! No one loves you!"

Their singing got louder and louder, until It was all I could hear. The boys continued to hurt me, kicking my head, and sides.

"Wimp!" Aaron yelled.

Then all of a sudden someone grabbed my hair into their fist and yanked me up. My feet dangled below me as they lifted me far off the ground.

"Old lady why don't you cut off your stupid grey hair!" a boy called Thomas yelled.

I screamed out as loud as I could, but no-one came to save me.

"Don't hurt me!" I wailed as they shook me around.

My head felt like it was being torn apart. I could feel each strand being pulled from my scalp, straining to stay in place.

Then Aaron swung a punch to my face.

I couldn't hold the tears back anymore, and they began cascading down my face like waterfalls.

"Look at the crybaby!" someone laughed.

"Chuck me some scissors!" Thomas smirked.

A blue pair of scissors were thrown into the middle of the circle, and he scooped them up.

"Please no!" I begged panic rising in my voice.

He opened up the scissors, and began to snip away at my long silky silver hair deliberately slow, and menacingly.

As he sliced the last strand, I fell to the floor. They all began to point and laugh at me, finally have received their daily entertainment.

"Why are you so mean!" I cried out, grasping my burning scalp.

Aaron took a step towards me, then crouched down so he was at my level.

"Because" he said in a low tone. "Lone wolves like you don't deserve to exist."

Then, standing up, he gave me one last kick, straight to the face, and then marched away, Thomas and his other friends trailing behind him.

Soon the circle around me began to disperse and I was left alone, lying on the ground.
