"You were right." His voice made me open my eyes.
Did I sleep?
I looked up confused at him and then at the screen.
The movie was over.
"See. I told you." I acted like I wasn't asleep and he chuckled.
"You look really cute when you are asleep."
"And I thought you wouldn't notice." I said scratching my head.
"Do you want to watch another one?" He asked while stroking my arm.
"No. I am hungry.." I said and got up from his chest.
"Really?" He said frowning. "But we..."
"Not that kind of hungry. I want cupcakes!" I said smiling at his confused face.
"Let's bake!"
"Ugh... I can't bake." He said.
"I'll teach you! Come on!"
Luckily he got everything we needed.
I told him what to do and he tried measuring the flour and sugar. I laughed at his clumsiness.
"What are you doing!" I laughed when he poured the flour all over the ground.
"Whoops!" He rubbed his neck.
We finished and put the cupcakes in the oven. Then I prepared the frosting and he watched me while he cleaned up.
After that we waited for the cupcakes to finish. He sat at the kitchen island resting his head in his hand while watching me.
"I didn't ask you what you want to be called."
"Huh?" I put the things to the side and stood next to the kitchen island.
He cleared his throat. "I don't want to call you SunHi. I mean you wouldn't want that right?" He nervously looked around.
"Uhmmm.... I don't know... Ja.. Jagiya... I guess...." I said looking down. My cheeks heated.
"Okay." He said softly and grabbed my hand that rested on the table.
The smell of the cupcakes filled the room.
I took them out to let them cool.
"What should we do meanwhile?" I said placing the cupcakes carefully on the table.
"When will your mother be back?" He suddenly asked.
"I don't know. She didn't called me again since that day." I said looking down.
"You don't talk about your parents either." He suddenly said. "I told you something about mine, now it's time you tell me too."
He pulled me closer so that I stood between his legs.
"I told you about my mother, that she works somewhere I don't know."
He chuckled. "How can't you know where your mother is?"
"She isn't allowed to tell me." I lowered my voice. "I miss her a lot."
"What about your father?"
I looked down. "I don't want to talk about him."
"Why not?"
"Because... I don't know much about him. My parents met in a military base." I laughed ironically. "My father was a soldier and my mother worked there as a volunteering doctor. It was a small and dangerous place that's why the medicine service wasn't allowed to leave. Stuck at the same place they both fell in love."
