Minato Namikaze stood quietly as he looked through the photo album. He reflected on the times of peace as he looked at his younger self smiling in the pictures. The war happening at the very moment made things for every village more difficult.

But despite all the drama happening around the world, Minato was grateful for one particular thing. The woman who stood on the couch at the moment was the woman he loved, the woman who became his fiance. As he turned the page of the album, he was reminded once again of her beauty. There was one photo on that page that stood out the most. A red haired, and a blonde haired, holding their hands as they smiled at the camera.

Kushina is everything he ever wanted and more. She was cunning, strong, ambitious, she even has the same dream as he does. To become Hokage. He sounded a little cheesy every time he would remind her that, but in the end, only one of them will become Hokage.

They both been in a relationship ever since they were just little Chunins back in the days. He saved her that one night in the forest and ever since then, they were inseparable. There was no question that they loved each other very much. They hope that after the war is going to end, they will finally get married and settle down.

But Kushina wasn't the only thing he was grateful for. He smiled as he turned the page of the album. The photo of he and his team he took on their first day really put a smile on his face. His team... He was very proud of them. They worked really hard to get where they were right now. They were like family to him, no matter what.

Kushina leaned towards Minato to get a view at the photo as well. She smiled a little as she saw her fiance's face. She knew how proud he was of his team. And she was proud as well.

"You know, Kakashi is getting a lot better." She said as she continued to sew back the torn pieces of the jacket.

"Yeah, you're right about that. For his age, he's doing great." Minato replied as he turned the page of the album.

"Rin is growing well, too. They're really becoming a good team."

Minato chuckled a little. He knew she would never admit to it if you were to ask her. She was too stubborn for her own good. The truth is, she was harsher on Obito than the others. The two of them always fought if they were in the same room.

"Don't forget about Obito." Minato said.

At that, Kushina stopped sewing and closed her eyes.

"He's hardly more than a bragging little half-pint. He's always tripping over himself, he can't throw a shuriken straight, and his jutsu setup is just... He'll need some work."

"Well, just like you said; Obito does have a lot of things that he needs to work on. But still, his bright and outgoing attitude is really important. Obito being there deepens the bond between everyone on the team. And that's a fact." Minato replied.

Kushina smiled a little at Minato's words.

"But wait, I don't need to tell you that. You already know it. I mean, he's your favorite, isn't he?" Minato grinned at her. She smiled back and him and stood up.

Kushina gave Minato his jacket and walked towards the window. The village was at peace during the night. Everyone was cherishing these moments at home, with their families or just simply walking around the village. But for shinobis, it was a lot more different. Most of them were out there, fighting for this village, fighting for their families and friends back here.

And once again, Kushina was reminded of the sobering fact that her fiance was in fact a shinobi. A shinobi greater than her. A Konoha ninja that will become Hokage one day. His time here was limited and she hoped with all her heart that everytime she will come to the gate to welcome him, he will be there, waiting for her to do so.

"By the way, is the location of your next assignment going to be decided soon?" She asked as she clenched the soft curtains.

"Yup, I should find out for sure in just a few days' time, but... I think that it's going to be at Kannabi Bridge."

Minato was aware of Kushina's nervousness. He knew that she feared for him every time he was out there, fighting. That's why, he made sure she stayed here, where it was safe. At first, of course she didn't agreed to his terms. She wanted to fight with him for this village but it took her not so long to realize that he feared the same thing as she did. So she decided to remain here, back at home, leaving everything else to the Yellow Flash of the Leaf Village.

"I hope the war ends soon..."

Minato stood up and walked towards her. They stood quietly as they watched the lights from the neighborhood turn off one by one.

"Come to think of it, why do you like him so much anyway?" Minato asked as he hugged her from behind.

"It's because, he's part of my dream." She said as she turned around to face him. "Dream?" Minato asked confused. "One day, if we have a child,  I want that child to be bright and forthright and grow up to be just like Obito. Our child doesn't have to smart,  he can even be cocky." Kushina chuckled at her fiance's confused face. "I want our child to value friendship and have a cheerful spirit... With a will that can't be broken."

Minato smiled at her. "Yeah, you're right." He said as he kissed her forehead, making her blush. "Our child will be the best, you know why?" Minato asked her. Kushina only shrugged in reply. "Because he will be the child of the Yellow Flash and the Red Hot Habanero." Kushina chuckled at that.

"He will become something more than that." A voice said behind them. Kushina and Minato jumped and turned around. There stood a hooded figure staring at the two of them. Before they could even grab their weapon, the enemy raised his hand and made the Ram sign.

The two suddenly disappeared from the room, as the hooded figure exited the room through the window.

"You'll see... Your child is destined for much greater things."
