"Nina are you okay?" Gabriel questioned, concern lacing his tone.

"Yeah, just tired."

"Okay." Gabriel frowned before pulling something out of his pocket. "Don't forget your picture."

I grabbed the picture from his hand and muttered a thanks. Without another word, I got out of the car and headed for my house.

This doesn't make sense, none of this does.

It has been two weeks since that day but I still can't think of any reasons why Dr Montgomery would transfer to a different hospital for me, other than Gabriel somehow making her do it. I tried not to think too much about it since I had a lot of Uni work to do but it was hard.

Gabriel called me every day as usual but he understood that I was very close to the end of my course and I didn't have much time for him. I can't say I like him any better than before but I have gotten used to him hovering around.

I now had a little bump that was very noticeable if I wore a tight top, not that any of my smaller tops would fit me now because of my chest. I wore loose tops so that it wouldn't be noticeable and so far it had worked.

I was very energetic which surprised me as I thought I would be more tired than usual. Instead when I woke up, I felt more healthy and stronger. I no longer had morning sickness and the only thing that remained the same was my craving for meat.

I had only one little essay to submit and I was done. My course was over and hopefully in two months I would be graduating with a good grade. I knew I wasn't going to get a first but I was hoping for a 2:1.

Things were going smoothly and I hoped they would stay like this.

I smiled as I started to pack my things in my bag. I was currently in the university library finishing off the mini essay I needed to do. All it needed now was just a quick edit and I was done.

Swinging my bag over my shoulder, I checked the time before I headed for the exit of the library. It was a little over 9pm and the sun was setting but since the library was only a few minutes away from the house, I didn't mind walking home.

I took out the sonogram from my purse and stroked the picture as I walked. It was a something I couldn't help but do, looking at the picture made me feel more connected to the baby.

"Mummy is all done, I did it." I smiled as I caressed the photo. "I actually did it."

I couldn't help but smile like a crazy person, even though my life was a mess and complicated right now it didn't matter. I was happy.

"Hey, Nina!" A familiar voice called out from behind me.

I turned around to see who it was and I groaned. Urgh, I'm no longer happy anymore. I quickly turned around and continued walking hoping Josh would get the hint. I turned onto another street that was a short cut to the house, it was deserted but I was only a few minutes away.

"Nina!" Josh yelled as he caught up with me.

"Oh, hey Josh. Didn't see you there." I muttered giving him a weak smile.

"You looked back and saw me."

"Right, so what do you want?" I asked him, hoping he would just go away.

"There's no need to be rude Nina, I just wanted to see how you were." Josh grumbled before his eyes fell to my hands. "What's that?"

"Nothing, nothing." I quickly muttered trying to shove the sonogram in my pocket before he sees what it is.
