Chapter 24

**Katoya**
My phone ringed but I didn't answer. Nathaniel went to the bathroom and stayed for a good fourty five minutes. I got up and walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door

Nathaniel-"Yeah!?"

Katoya-"Baby everything okay in there?"

Nathaniel-"Ugh yeah I'm coming out now"

He came out the bathroom.

Katoya-"About time you came out"

He did a small smile and walked past me. My hearing monitor was on my hip and I heard Nalani crying I went in her room and picked her up.

Katoya-"Awe mama baby. Everything is going to be okay"

I checked to see if she was wet and she was. I laid her on diaper changing station and started to change her but I noticed her room window was open I went to close but I stepped on a teddy bear that I didn't recognize but I just sat it on our shelf. After changing her I put her back to sleep. I went to my bedroom and seen a necklace on the floor it was still in the box  it was so beautiful i ran down stairs and jumped on Nathaniel

Katoya-"Thank you baby"

I kissed him

NT-"For what?"

Katoya-"This necklace"

He did a smile. My man can be so sweet. We kept enjoying my evening

**2 Months later**
I was in my office at home doing some financial work. Nalani is four months now and she is growing by the minute but it's special that I get spend all my time with her. Kenny came in

Kenny-"Mama can I go outside and play with JR"

Katoya-"Yeah baby go head. Don't run by that pool"

Kenny-"Yes ma'am"

Nathaniel has been acting so different he don't wanna spend time with nobody, he barley want touch me or look at me I don't even know what's going on. Then the media has been swearing up and down that Nathaniel has a secret child or something.  Me being me I don't believe that but​ then they say he has a side chick I don't know at this point. Amanda and Lisa wanted to go out to eat later so I got up and went in my room and started getting dressed. I put on a off the shoulders chiffon suede pink shirt with a skinny high waisted jeans. I flat ironed my hair and did my makeup I put on some heels and went to Nalani room and got her dressed she was up just looking in her crib. I put her on a pink cute shirt with some jeans and her little black booties. I packed her diaper bag and and carried her and the bag down stairs. While holding her on my hip I walked outside to the backyard.

Katoya-"Y'all two wanna go with me"

Kenny-"Where you going"

Katoya-"To go out to eat with Amanda and Lisa"

JR-"I wanna go"

Kenny-"Me too"

Katoya-"Well come on"

I walked back inside and put Nalani in car seat.

Nathaniel-"Where y'all going"

Katoya-"Out to eat with Amanda and Lisa"

Nathaniel-"Oh. So you not going to talk to me"

Katoya-"Seemed like you didn't want to be messed with"

I was warming Nalani two bottles up and packed them with the rest of her things. Nathaniel started playing with her she was making those little noises.
