"Hey Shitheads wait for me!!" Marc called out to Derrick, Jamie, Elisia, and myself. The five of us broke down on the side of the highway coming back from a party, everyone's hammered so I guess it's better we broke down and not got into an accident. Still though it's a total bummer. Marc and I only had a beer so we are in charge, or so we told ourselves.
We saw a house at the end of a dirt street, nothing run down or obviously murderous about it so we are going there to get help. There's no cell service out here, like come on its twenty foueteen why wouldn't there be a tower? Hopefully they can help us because I'm getting tired of Derrick's bitching about the fresh mud on his shoes.
As we got closer to the house it seemed pretty old. It had a dark brown outerwalls and cobwebs on the creaky porch. There wasn't a car in the driveway and the grass in the yard seems a bit untamed. But if the house could get us out of this rain, it's helpful enough.
We made it to the front door and knocked, the lights were out and it was pretty silent except a few crickets now and then and of course the hard rain pounding on the roof. We knocked again trying to wake up whoever was there but again there was nothing. "What now?" Jamie asked her arm linked with Elisia as they huddled under the porch to get out of the rain. I bet they are hella cold- Elisia was in a short blue sleeveless dress and her blonde hair blew agasint her face in the wind as she tried to escape in her jacket for warmth, Jamie was covered a bit more with a long sleeved black dress with tights but had the same thin purple jacket as Elisia has.
"Don't worry, I'll pick the lock. If someone finds us we'll just explain," Marc said. Noone disagreed so the plan proceeded.
"It might just be abandoned guys," I put in to try and ease our minds. We all stood silent as Marc opened the door. I think everyone could tell it didn't feel right. Sure the wind was blowing and it was cold but there was just this chill that ran down my spine... somethings off.
"David, you go in first. You're physic and shit tell us if it's safe!" Elisia said with her lip out. I gulped, sure my grandma is physic but that doesn't automatically mean I am! But of course my dumbass wanted to impress my girl, I stepped into the house and I felt something I never felt before. Maybe not something I never felt but it had so much intensity that it surprised me.
"I don't know guys maybe we shouldn't do this," I said trying to back up. Derrick pushed me aside and went in anyways.
"Dude it's freezing out there, let's just find a phone and get out!" He said taking out his lighter and showing it around the room. Soon Marc, Jamie, and Elisia went in too. From being the first one in to the last; I wasn't as confident about this place being helpful anymore. I felt as if someone was pulling me by the hand into the house. Their pull was so strange, it was soft but needy almost like a childs. Suddenly it felt like more hands on my arms, some were stronger but not violent. I followed them hesitantly, they lead me to the bottom of these stairs that went up.
"Hey guys... something is telling me to go up there," I told them, I think I'm going mad. There was nothing in front of me except the base of the steps and there was noone even beside me let alone pulling me. The girls linked back together quickly.
"What do you mean something?" Marc said as the three of them came closer. I shrugged not taking my eyes off the stairs. I'm almost certain I saw something move up there- but no sound was made and noone else seemed to notice either. I felt a pull on my jacket, it was telling me to go up the stairs. The girls screamed.
"DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT?! HIS JACKET MOVED!" Jamie screamed backing up against a wall. Marc took a step up and grabbed my shoulder.
"Man what's going on here, are you okay?" He said and I nodded but I couldn't look away. I swear I can see something just at the top of the stairs, something white but it was to well covered by the shadows for me to tell.
