Chapter 1
The spy who spied on the other
spy who then spied together

Jackson Lucille Hemsworth

"Jackson you must play with the other kids outside of the palace. "

" Why should I? If I am royal like those in the books why should I be with people below me ?"

My mothers dark eyes scanned my face.

" Whatever your Father has told you isn't right. You must, be kind to those outside of our world. You have to see the other perspective my Son. For those who aren't blessed to be normal in such society like this." Her face held deep scars as did her body. She would come home with blood leaving me wondering if it was hers or someone she had fought. Mother decided to fight for our society while dad fought back with money and other children who would train and fight. I always wonder if it was he who created this mess.  How are we going into war to fight for our rights? How did this world become a mass of technology?

I walked outside leaving my mother in her private den. Father doesn't know she's here for she broke his heart.

I walked along the empty roads to a special spot where the children like me would play. Then I saw her. She grinned running up to me engulfing me in a giant hug. She wore a beautiful red dress that would soon be muddy. Her hair in a messy pony tail.  She pulled back frowning.

" You missed the episode of Hanna Montana" she spoke ever so quietly her tongue hitting the small gap where her tooth once was.

" I was watching the upside down show lexa"

We stared at each other for a while before I heard a woman calling out for her. She didn't want to go to her mother who would be mad that she crossed over to the palace.

" Bye Lucithe" She struggled to pronounce my middle name. I watched as she ran off .

That was the last day I saw my friend. When I speak of her no one seems to remember so I put it behind me and thought it was just a dream. Her image soon fading.

That's not the only woman who left me.

Mother too left. Father said she has business to do and I didn't know what it meant at the time. Until I realized the unfinished work she had left behind for her only son.

The royal pain

Now now, I am ever so loyal. I only hold on to my families name. If by royal you mean living in a large place and having a father who decides what's best for our society then that's that. As his only son from both blood I have responsibility however, I have the option to take care of his business he will leave behind or take his position.

" Jackson Claudia the hottie you met at the club the other day yeah she's downstairs I don't know if you wanna buzz her in she seems... tempered. "

I looked at Anthony who has been my friend for years. His father is my dads right hand man. The two have been working together for a long time and everyone hopes the same will happen to the both of us. That nothing breaks the bond we have apart.

" I don't want to see her. " I sat down on the velvet couch taking off my black blazer.

The couch dipped as Anthony drew in a breath.

" Claudia says if you don't step up your game she'll leave a mark on your company potentially putting in a bad name for you. We don't need that type of nonsense spreading do we ?" Anthony picked up a glass bottle from the table in front of us. He picked the cheapest wine, he poured some into a cup and I watched the dark red liquid fill it. He passed the cup to me but I took the bottle out from his hand gulping down it's contents.
