RECAP:

"Uh actually Mrs Minter we won't be getting married in the spring........" I say when everyone's quieted down abut which makes everyone break out into huge gasps and whispers.

Maddison POV

Seriously what is it with this family and gasping?

Simon secures his arm around my waist and if I'm honest it actually hurt because of how hard he was grasping my waist.

I gather all the strength I can with just my left arm and rip his arm off me (whilst still trying to make it looked like he wasn't squeezing the life out of me) and walk over to Mrs Minter who was still stood in her husbands arms looking really awkward and still a bit shocked and actually looks like she wants to cry.

"We won't be getting married in the spring!" I shout to get everyone's attention again. "Because me and Si already talk about when we would want to get married, we both said that we want to do it the week after we finish school." I finished, you could almost see the relief wash over Mrs Minters face when I said that, even Mr Minter let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank god I thought this party was going south for a second." She says making everyone chuckle for some reason. I swear it's just posh people. "So everyone now we've got that sorted out........the bars free for the first 10 minutes after that your on your own. Dinner will be out in half an hour!" Mrs Minter shouts over everyone rushing to the bar with John, Leon and Garry I front of everyone else.

Before I could even get a breath in I was pulled back roughly into someone's chest, I was about to kick off before the person whispered is my ear quietly which sent weird shivers down my spine.

"When did this conversation happen exactly?" The person asked with their nose brushing against my ear in the process. I think it's Simon and if I'm being entirely honest I hope it is him and not some creepy old man.

I wiped my head around just to make sure it was Simon and went ridged when I saw that it definitely was him with his arms around me.

I stuttered for a few seconds but couldn't come up with an answer. He groaned for some reason from behind me and let me go before basically running out of the room closely followed by Jide!

Ok I'll just pretend that never happened then.

I look around for someone I know but all the people that are here for me are at the bar or god knows where else! I sit down at one of the long benches where their was an untouched glass of water and took and sip and sighing.

As I looked around the room I noticed how their wasn't as many people here as I would of expected, they must not have a very big family? Then again I think that any normal sized family is small compared to mine I mean I have over 100 second cousins for fuck sake!

That's not me being dramatic either I can remember from when I was younger it was just under 100 second cousins I had but since that was years ago now their are probably a load more who are still little. It's because I come from a big Irish family and all of my aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and the rest have at least 4-5 or more kids. I mean my Nanny who's my mums mum was one of 13! So yeah this is definitely a small family compared to that!

"Depressed are we?" Someone asked making me wip my head to the side to see Vikram with a beer in his hand, coming towards me. I put my head down and sit properly at the table, I feel him sit down next to me and automatically tense up.
