My head felt woozy as I tried to regain air from my lungs. I felt limp and sore, my body not communicating with my brain as it fought against my will to stay stationed where I was. Every part of me was aching, causing me to feel like I had just been hit by a train. My vision was hazy and blurred, as I scanned the room noticing this wasn't my bedroom. Peering down, my usual night outfit which consisted of my ninja turtle pants and one of my oversized shirts was nonexistent. Instead, I lied naked with nothing on but the covers.
Scratches and bruises marked me, leaving no visible skin untouched. I managed to sit up still dazed of where I was and how I got here. The familiar black dress laid thrown on the floor, like a decoration that added to the room. The recognizable bleached color sheets were a ghostly white that was untidily thrown out on the king sized bed. That's when it hit me.
Alcohol leaked from my breath as my breathing began to pick up its pace. My lungs having to match the tempo of my beating heart as I remember how I got here.
"You're all mine now."
Those words, haunting me like a nightmare, kept replaying itself in my brain. Shivers ran throughout me like an earthquake, making what was left of my functioning body go numb. My frail figure began to shake uncontrollably as the flashbacks poured through me, filling me up with complete terror. I managed to rise from the bed trying to retrieve my strength that I obviously lost last night.
Picking up my lingerie, I began to put the clasps of my bra together, slipping my dress on and grabbing my heels along with it. My mind was so consumed on escaping from this atrocious place, when the horrifying thought came into my head. Liam.
Frantically, I grabbed my phone that was deep into the jungle I called my purse. My trembling fingers managed to type his number as I finally hit the call button. I don't know what was louder, my breathing or my beating heart. I could barely control myself as my mind wondered off of what he would say to me. "Hey, last night was great." Or "Don't ever talk to me again, last night was something I need to forget, just like you." The heart clenching fact that he might not want me began to churn my stomach, almost making me feel sick.
My thoughts were jumbled inside me, until I snapped out of my non-reality state, when I heard the familiar "Hey babe." The voice coming through the phone sounded deep, and tired, like he didn't get enough sleep last night. I could hear the alcohol coming from his voice, discharging from the phone. I decided to act casual, making sure to bring the topic up in a casual nonchalance way.
"Why did you leave the party so early?" I managed to say. My voice sounded weak and decrepit, like I was forcing myself to speak when my body denied it.
"What do you mean? I dropped you off at Chelsea's, and then went home." I could tell he began to feel a sense of worry, as his voice inclined higher and higher through the phone.
"Is there something you need to tell me Jessie?" Strong but weak, his voice was unsure he could take anything I could possibly tell him.
"You don't remember anything that happened last night?" My body began to cave itself in, as I was frightened of what his response might be. My stomach turning into a huge knot inside me making me feel the sensation to barf.
