My eyes snap open and I see a bright light. I blink as I recognize a white ceiling facing me.

I cringe feeling like my head just got ran over a truck.

I pry myself off of what seems like a hospital bed. I look around and see I'm in a hospital patient room. These people here are...crazy! They allowed some creepy guy to attack me!

The next thought that crosses my mind is that I need to get out of here.

I suddenly remember that woman, who told me I was the Avatar. What the hell does that mean? I dismiss that as a crazy hallucination or a dream. I mean, it couldn't be real.

I swing my feet around on the white bed. I stand up and sway a little, but I soon regain balance.

I want to go home, I think with a sigh. No matter how crappy life was back home it's better than this place where they kidnap and torture you.

I look down at my attire and see I'm still in my grey clothing but this time when I look at the clothes they are torn, bloody, and really dirty. I really need a shower. I can't imagine how I smell.

I walk to the other side of the cold room and open the door. It opens into a lobby room. It's an infirmary inside the academy. That's kind of cool.

A nurse rushes towards me. She is young, maybe in her late 20's.

"You're not supposed to be out of bed. If you feel comfortable enough to leave you can be off in 10 minutes. Otherwise, you can rest here." She said with kindness. She looked tired, and I immediately feel bad hoping I wasn't keeping her here.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found out that the nurse's name was Elizabeth but most people call her Liz. She seemed like the first person here to show me true kindness at this place.

Once I got checked out of the infirmary I headed back to my room. It took me a while to get there because I had to go off of memory of what Liz told me.

I don't know what this school expects from me. Do they want me to fit in their group like some obedient child? Whoever is making the shots here doesn't understand that I want a say in this, too. It's starting to feel like a prison at this forsaken school. Also, I don't get how everyone here looks so damn happy, like this school isn't as weird as I see it.

As I head in random directions I can't help but think about the fire bending guy. Freaky-Flame Dude name kinda stuck, but I wonder what his real name is? Beside the fact he is gorgeous, he attacked me! All for what? To find what my witchy powers are?

I remember the distinct memory of feeling anger course through me. I wanted him to die. Looking back at it now, I regret giving in. I made it too easy for him and it is all my fault.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of people bending the elements. Why haven't normal people or humans found out about this?

Surprisingly enough I find myself in front of my room door, 201.

I open the door and fresh air hits me. It's calming and soothing but that doesn't put aside that there is someone in the room, my room.

She sits on the opposite side of my bed, on her bed. She is reading a book but when I close the door behind me she looks up shocked.

She suddenly gets up and saunters over to me. Why is she coming towards me? Is she going to hate me? All these unanswered questions race in my head and I can't help but wait for her reaction.

"They told me I was having a new roommate! My name is Hannah, I'm a water bender. How about you?" Hannah said. She has light red hair that falls in long curls. She is extremely tall and not to mention skinny. Overall she is pretty...way prettier than me.
