Dylan's pov
I stopped in front of Axel's apartment complex I got annoyed because I had told him to wait outside and of course he's not here
I groaned and texted him to get his ass out here
I smiled widely seeing a text from Cupcake
Cupcake:hey Dylie what are you up to?
Me:nothing much My pretty cupcake what about you?
Cupcake:just finished cheer practice
Cupcake is my nickname for my girlfriend Darcy, Darcy Leeann Moore she's 16 and just the prettiest ash blonde hair, with green eyes, she was kinda tan, and pretty short she just makes it to my shoulders and she's just the sweetest and most innocent girl ever
Never had a boyfriend (before me), never had a first kiss, and the girl who praises those who wait till marriage to be intimate she told me she wasn't that sure she'd wait that long but she did for sure want to wait until she was married to have kids
I respected that I thought she was just the most adorable girl ever
Me:that's good cupcake are you ready for our date on Friday?
Cupcake:yes I'm very excited 3 months together I'm so happy Dylie your so understanding
She meant that I never forced her to do anything
Me:I have something for you and I'm so excited to give it to you
I got her a pink heart charm for a charm bracelet she frequently wore
Cupcake:Dylie awww you didn't have to get me anything
Me:YES I do Haha I have to work soon so if I don't answer that's why
I jumped as Axel got in my car "alright let's go hurry up I'm ready to shower and go to bed" Axel sighed
"That's totally a good fighter attitude" I was sarcastic
"Look I have a life I have jobs! I have stuff to do and I get tired I shouldn't even be doing this" I groaned
"Hey I have a job too!" I yelled
"Yeah ooo I'm sorry your a teacher boy then you come sit and watch me fight that must be so hard for you" Axel sassed
"You're an asshole you know that right?" I smirked "that's why your single and will be alone forever"
"Ooh ha ha that's funny cause your Casanova" Axel made a fake loud laugh
"That's why I have a girlfriend" I laughed for real
"BULLSHIT" Axel faced me
"No bullshit 3 months her name is Darcy she's a cheerleader and the sweetest girl ever" I snapped
"BULLLLLLL show me a picture" he didn't believe me I quickly picked up my phone going to my pictures there was just an album dedicated to pictures of her I clicked it and passed him the phone
He strolled through squinting he sighed in defeat "she's cute..." he frowned and huffed "cupcake texted"
"What'd she say?" He clicked it and read
"Dylie your just the sweetest.... then a little heart then The date is at Olive Garden right?" He looked at me
"Text her yes and tell her to wear pink because she's adorable in pink" I smiled he sighed and texted her back for me
We finally had onto te dirt road Axel looked so bummed "look man I'm sorry I didn't get a girlfriend just to leave you in the lonely hearts club"
He nodded "I know it's cool y'all look cute together just..... I can't have someone..." he sounded so sad I frowned
"Look I'm sure you'll find someone you're handsome.." I tried to make him feel better he just stared out the window
We pulled up I didn't think he was in much of a fighting mood but I was confident he'd win in almost any state
We stepped in and followed the normal trail through the crowd to the locker room we stepped in
He hunched over and covered his face I frowned and leaned on the row of lockers, this place had obviously been some sort of gym before this "l-look Axel you don't have to fight..." even if it pained me to say that
He shook his head "no it'll do me good to fight" he sighed and rubbed his face "g-get some aggression out" it was sad to say I was happy we didn't leave without a few hundred dollars in our pockets
"That's right that's a good mind set" I praised but he still didn't look up I looked at my feet
"GENTLEMEN AND ESCORTS PLEASE JOIN ME IN THE WELCOME SECOND TIME RETURN OF BARBWIRE FIGHTING AGAI-"
The way he said Barbwire was a lot more enthusiastic than the first time I looked at Axel who just stood up and wrapped his knuckles pulling on his gloves walking out I followed behind missing the rest of announcements even the opposing fighters name
As we walked through the crowds of people grabbed at Axel he'd just glare at people and they'd kinda just shrink away from him he really did hate the random touching from fans
He made it to the ring and jumped in ignoring some cheers for him he watched at the other fighter stepped in
He was pretty old or I mean old enough to have white hair and a peppered beard he's short and had a big beer gut
The loud buzz shook the building Axel had no hesitation he punched hard and directly at his face the guy did not handle it well stumbling back into the ropes swinging aimlessly
I felt my phone buzz
Cupcake:Okay babe just for you i'll wear a pretty pink dress for you
I smiled widely and looked up going wide eyed seeing Axel watching the guy falling back knocked out and bloody
The ref stepped in went to grab Axel's arm but he growled as the ref went to grab him making the ref jolt back Axel didn't care he just stepped out and walked to me
"Axel what happened you were only in there for 5 minutes..." I mumbled
"I told you I had aggression" he huffed I looked back at the ring the guy was getting dragged out and 2 new fighters stepped in
I hurried to follow Axel I was stopped by the boss he handed a pile of cash "fights need to last longer I'll see you next Sunday" I nodded he walked off I walked into the locker room
Axel was on the bench laying back "c-come on Axel lets go" I frowned "and the boss said fight longer" he stood up and ground his teeth
"No" he answered bluntly "Im not playing around in the ring"
I nodded not willing to cross him right now "it's whatever you want man"
