The second page told about the dr appointment tomorrow and listed where the drs office was and instructions on how to get there. It also gave us a list of choices for transportation that would be free of cost for us. The Knight bus was on there and so was walking the mile and a half to the office building.
The third page was what I was looking for.
"It says that only those staying at the Claridge Hotel have free reign to go anywhere we want, as long as we are inside the hotel by our 10pm curfew." I read to Draco.
"Nice, I never really got to visit London, unless you count Diagon Alley. " He explained.
His father has strict against anything having to do with Muggles, so walking in close proximities was a definite no-no in the Lucius Malfoy handbook.
I glanced up and took a peek at Big Ben's clock. It read 45 minutes after 3. We had about 7 hours before our curfew and a world of possibilites when it came to what we were able to do to fill the hours.
"Want to go to Diagon Alley and get some ice cream?" I suggested as I glanced towards the Leaky Cauldron again.
Draco nodded his head. "And while we are there I can stop by Gringotts to get some muggle money for our shopping tomorrow."
"You shouldn't spend too much money, Draco." I said to him as we headed back into our penthouse suite.
"Why not? Hermione, this is our son or daughter and they deserve the best that I can give to them."
I pulled Draco to a stop, just outside our bedroom door. "Draco, it isn't really our child."
"I know."
"Then you also know that at the end of our final year it will disappear forever and we will go our seperate ways." I added. I felt my heart clench.
I know Draco said he loved me but there was no place for a muggleborn in his life. Right now we were forced to play house together and this is his only outlet for expressing his true feelings towards me. But once this was over, he had to move on.
The Dark Lord no longer existed and muggleborns didn't have to live in fear anymore but that didn't mean everything changed. The noble house of Malfoy was and always would be a name associated with purebloods. And I could bet his father would break out of Azkaban and kill just to keep it untainted with the likes of myself.
As I looked into Draco's eyes I saw pain. "I know this too." He cleared his throat. "And... that is why I want to make the most of it. It doesn't matter if it isn't forever. I ..." He cleared his throat again and looked away. "Let's go get some ice cream." He said before walking off.
As he cut through the living room towards the foyer, I could have sworn I hear him sniffle as if he was crying.
The elevator ride down was quiet and he avoided looking me in the eye. The second the doors opened he exited and made his way towards the lobby doors.
"Hermione!" I heard Neville shout from behind me.
I glanced over my shoulder and saw Neville and Luna making there way over to me.
"Hey." I said, not slowing my pace.
Luna and Neville had to job a bit just to make it to my side. Then they slowed their pace to match mine.
"We went and knocked on your and Draco's room but two french men answered." Neville explained as we crossed the street.
Draco was thirty yards ahead of us so I did my best to keep him in my sights.
"Yeah, the hotel manager said our room was double booked and so we were upgraded for the inconveinence. We are in a penthouse on the top floor." I said casually.
