Chapter 1

I was right here, standing as my family was getting killed. I just stood here like a statue hoping to wake up from this dreadful dream. But I knew that I couldn't wake up and just tell my parents about it, it was because they were actually getting mudered right in front of me... feeling their warm blood splattering on my nearly unconscious face. I wanted to scream for help but my throat was still obstructed from yelling and I knew yelling wouldn't actually do any good. It was a monster I'm up against. A vile and appalling monster that could snap you within his fingers like a twig.

"I'm going to eat you now, princess," the monster calling me princess was even more distressful. But I just stood there wondering that if I ran, would he be able to catch up on me. But even I didn't want to believe that this monster was a so-called vampire. I was too scared to think of any possiblities according to the situation I was in right now. Step by step the man tried to make himself towards me, but this time my two feet moved on its own. I stepped back not wanting to have a stance with his lustful face in front of me. I watched him while blood covered his perfectly shaped jaw and I took a glance at my parents and helpless little brother who got killed by this tremendous monster.

"What do you want?" I tried to ask hoping that I could get a reasonable answer, but I knew this kind, I've read it in books. Vampires killed for no apparent reason, they just wanted blood which humans have. Hearing that vampires suck their prey dry was helping myself knew where this was going. I knew that I was next. He tried to tackle me but I got my two feet running, then he just disappeared into mid-air and the next thing I knew, he then grabbed me by my arm and threw me across the other side of the living room with so much impact causing my legs to crash on the television and produce some red-hot and thick blood. I was pretty sure that this was what he wanted.

He then disappeared into mid-air again. He grabbed my seriously pale foot and then threw me with so much greater impact than before. "This is getting fun, princess," he said again and I tried to get up. I whacked my head on our wooden table hard. I felt like dying, but why did I even struggle? Even if I lived, I would have no family to spend my life with. Then little did I know that he was already in front of me with his face a few inches away from mine. "I promise it won't hurt princess," And I knew, this was it. The end of my life.

I felt two teeth sank in my skin, I bashly screamed. I knew he didn't make his promise that it wouldn't hurt, it was like giving some time of your life in Hell. I just closed my eyes because I thought it would lessen the pain that I was feeling right now. I thought that I would see some flashbacks of how lively and fortunate my life had been living with my family, but those flashbacks didn't happen. I just suddenly felt his teeth got off from my neck. I just waited for my sudden death. But it didn't came. Wait, why didn't that monster kill me? I started to open my eyes and suddenly saw the monster being held by two other people. Were they supposed to be vampires too? But their eyes, it's not bloody red like the monster's eyes from earlier, they were rather golden brown or hazelnut, maybe?

Then the beautiful little headed girl just snapped the monsters neck. How did she do that? Then a guy in his mid30's stood right in front of me. His eye color stood out of them all. "You're safe now," and reached out a hand.

I was not hesitating to reach for it until I took a greater look of his curled mouth. Blood stains. Why would they save me from their own kind? I immediately ran, but good thing they didn't come after me. I went to the back of our house and ran across the forest. At least I knew the plants would cover up the smell of blood and I might had a chance to stay alive. After some few minutes of running, I just felt that I lost so much blood. Maybe it was better to die in this place than be sucked up dry by those monsters, right?
