"It's a pleasure, Mr. Valdez," I rolled my eyes. I placed a hand on my hip, then quickly removed it as pain shot up my side.
"Are you ok?" Leo asked, concerned.
I pulled up my shirt and gasped at the sight of my skin rubbed raw and bleeding.
"Of course I am," I responded sarcastically. "I get road burns all the time!"
"Here, let me-"
"Don't touch me!" I snarled, slapping his out stretched hand.
He snatched his hand back.
"I'm sorry I just...reflexes. I don't really like people touching me," I mumbled.
"Those are some hell of a reflexes you got," he winked.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Where's your house? I need to talk to your mom."
"Here let's walk."
"Okay. I never caught your name."
"Johanna Sorenson. If you call me anything besides Jo though, I'll break your fingers."
"I'm sure you would," he smirked.
"What?"
"Nothing. I just like your attitude."
"Nice to know."
We walked in silence the rest of the way home.
"Mother!" I called as I entered my house.
"Johanna, why aren't you at school?" Her voice floated towards us from her office.
"The bus crashed," I muttered as I walked into her mahogany office.
"Oh no," my mother continued typing at her computer.
Leo coughed beside me.
"Mother, this is Leo Valdez. I met him after the bus crashed. He says he wants to talk to you."
She nodded and glanced up.
"Hello Mrs. Sorenson. I'm Leo, son of Hephaestus."
[I love how Viria draws Leo. He's so hot]
