Skylar Pov
I park my car and hurry inside cause it looks like it's going to rain. I went straight to the kitchen only to jump out of my skin. Hunter is sitting at the table eating a sandwich while on his phone.
"Hey" I said with a small smile
"oh hey" he said looking up from his phone, I quickly put down my backpack on one of the chairs and decided to talk to Hunter before Jacob gets here.
"I didn't see you in school?" I said gently
"I had some stuff to take care of" he said finishing his sandwich
"I wanted talk to you about something" I said
"what happen?" he asked
"I just wanted to warn you that Jacob will be staying here" I said
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" he Yelled slamming his fist on the table, scaring me.
"what?" I asked confused
"are you going to let that dipshit in your house after what he did to you?" he asked standing up
"how the hell do you know?"I asked
"god you must be really stupid, I knew what he did after having sex with that dump cheerleader who wouldn't shut the fuck up, you guys stopped hanging out" he said getting next to me, so I quickly stood up.
"well I have my reasons" I said grabbing my stuff
"yeah a stupid reason" he said clenching his fist I just decided to ignore him and was about to start walking upstairs to my room when he stopped me.
"just answer me this one question" he said grabbing his jacket
"what?" I said looking back at him.
"Are you still in love with him?" he asked looking at me in the eyes
"No" I said making sure to keep eye contact with him, he nodded his head and quickly left. I headed upstairs and sat on my bed.
'there's a difference between love and being in love' I thought to myself as I started my homework.
Hunter Pov
After leaving Skylar's house I couldn't help but feel anger boil inside of me. Why him? what's so damn special about this dumbass. I quickly made my way to the club and nodded to Skull as he let me in. I found my way to the back and knock on the black door that said boss on it. I heard him said 'come in'.
"put me in for tonight" I said while opening up the door making sure it closes behind me and taking a seat in front of his desk. My boss locked at me with a confused face.
"Are you sure?" He asked raising an eyebrow at me
"you got messed up last time" he said leaning against his chair crossing his arms. My boss is this big guy who everyone fears, shoot even I fear him because of the things I've seen him do.
"yeah but didn't I win though?" I said with smirk
"barely" he said reminding me of getting jumped in the supermarket with those bitch asses.
"am I in or not?" I asked getting impatient
"yeah just don't get yourself killed this time" he said giving me a knowinging look
"hey, he's the one who pulled out the knife and that's against the rules" I said
"but you shouldn't have fucked his sister" he said before looking through his computer and answering an email.
"that wasn't my fault" I said shrugging my shoulders
"start going downstairs and get ready" he said nodding his head to the door
"see you later" I said and walking to the stairs at the end of the hallway and once you get downstairs you can hear the mayhem and everyone placing bets. I reach the locker room and text my other best friend Axel letting him know that I was fighting tonight. I got to my locker and started changing into my clothes and wrapping my hands .
"yo" Axel said entering the locker room with Zander, giving them both handshakes
"you ready?" Zander said
"hell yeah" I said already picturing that fucker Jacob with Skylar.
"where's Josh?" I asked
"boss needed him make a delivery" Axel said looking at his watch
"it's time" he said as I started jumping and cracking my neck getting ready.
