Skylar Pov
"Don't shoot" Hunter said with bruises all over.
"why the hell are you even in my house!?!" I said still aiming my shotgun at his chest
"well if you put the gun down then I'll explain" he said , I put the safety back on
"alright talk" I said sitting on my bed laying the gun on my bed
"damnn I didn't know you know how to work a gun" he said
"that one of the things that my dad actually taught me how to do" I said crossing my legs leaning against my headboard.
"very well, these bad guys found me at supermarket and waited for me to get out , we got into a fight be seeing as it was only me against 5 guys was truly hard , So I fought back but once I knew that I couldn't fight them all I ran back into the supermarket and left through the back and your house was near by so I came through the window and waited for you, but since you wasn't getting out till 3 I got bored and decided to go through your bookshelf" he said sitting on my rolly chair
"why are there bad guys chasing after you?" I ask
"let's just say that I'm not a good guy" he said , I just nodded cause I honestly was kinda scared to hear the rest. I went to my bathroom and underneath the sink there was a first aid kit.
"stay" I told him , I opened it and started taking out the disinfecting spray and some other stuff.
"I'm not a dog you know" he said and I started laughing , I sprayed his forehead near his eyebrow cause he was bleeding there, he jumped when it made contact with his skin
"really?" I mumbled, he just rolled his eyes , once I was done I put the kit away.
"are you sure they didn't follow you to my house?" I asked
"I'm positive" he said
"very well, are you hungry?" I asked, he nodded and we both headed downstairs and I started to make us dinner.
Meanwhile................................
"Are you sure he went into that house?" boss asked us
"yeah he climbed into the kitchen window " I said
"find out who's house this is" boss said as we saw a teenage girl walk into the house
"let's see if she finds him , call the parents and see if they'll call the police " boss said smiling
Skylar pov
After cooking dinner, I got text from Jacob saying that he was spending the night at Alex house that's his best friend. I was washing the dishes when the house phone rang which is weird.
"Hello" I said into the phone
"skylar " I heard my dad voice
"oh hi dad" I said awkward , I was confused , Hunter came in and took a seat on the counter looking at me weird.
"Skylar I just got a call that somebody saw a guy break into the house" he said
"umm dad there's nobody here but me" I told him looking a Hunter
"well I already called the police cause last thing I need is for somebody to break into my office or better yet your mother's jewelry" he said I was angry cause even if there actually was a stranger in the house , my own dad didn't even care about my well being.
"how long did you call the police?" I asked and Hunter jumped off the counter and looked alarmed.
"2 mins ago they should be there in a few minutes" he said , I just hanged up.
"police?" Hunter asked
"My dad got a call say that some young man broke into our house meaning you , I thought you said that they weren't following you?" I asked him
" I thought they weren't " he said
"well guess what , they did and now my dad called the cops and they should be here any minute" I said we heard sirens from afar.
Think....

GOT IT!
I grabbed Hunter arm and dragged him to my dad office were I knew there was a hidden office behind the bookshelf it's where he hides into things. I moved it and put in the pin and shoved him in there.
"DONT MOVE" I said to him and ran back to my room and hide the shotgun. I ran down stairs and even out my breathing so I wasn't breathing hard when the police officers get here. I left the tv on, somebody knocked on the door, I looked through the peep hole.
"Hello officers can I help you guys with something?" I said looking innocent , I notice there's gaze soften.
"Hi I'm officer Santiago and this is Office Diaz we got a call from your dad saying that somebody broke in " officer Santiago said
"yes my dad called me but I went around and there's nobody here" I said looking confused
"may we have a look?" he said I nodded , I open the door wider and let them in. I followed them as they looked around the living room through the closets and they went into the kitchen.
"Um Mrs. Brooks" office Diaz said
"yes"
"why is there two plates in the sink" he said looking at me
"oh my boyfriend was suppose to come but he didn't and I already had his plate out so I just threw the food out" I said and got my eyes watery so they can believe me.
"were sorry" they said , I just nodded and wiped my eyes , I followed them throughout my house finally they finished and they called my dad and told them that they didn't find anything that probably the guy left when he heard the sirens. I said goodbye to the officers.
"If anything don't be afraid to call us " officer Santiago said handing me his and Diaz card
"I will thank you" I said , I closed the door and looked out the window and made sure they passed the gate and went down the block before I made a run up the stairs and quickly went to my dad office and hurry up to let Hunter out, After I put in the pin I looked and saw Hunter chilling on the couch.
"you ready?" I said scaring him , making him fall off the couch. I started laughing.
"did you really have to scare me" Hunter said
"I thought you heard me" I said giggling
"no" he said and turned off the lights and we left my dad office.
"did they ask any questions?" he asked
"yeah, they found your other plate but I made up a lie saying that it was my boyfriend but he stood me up" I said
"good" he said
"can I sleep over?" he asked
"sure you can sleep in one of the guest rooms" I said
We walked the the guest room that was near mine and I showed him the bathroom and gave him some of jacob clothes to sleep in even though he refused , I left it there for him.
"I'm going to bed , goodnight" I said to Hunter
"goodnight" he said
"I'm gonna put the alarm on, ok?" I said
"ok" he said , I left and finished washing the dishes and turned off the TV but also turned on the alarm and went to my room. I took a quick shower and layed down in shorts and a shirt , as soon as I layed down I knocked out.
