I was an average girl...Living an average life...Then it all changed...
"Mommy! What are we doing for Daddy's birf day?", I smiled up at my mother. "Haha Sweetie it's bir-TH-day not bir-F-day, and we are going to make Daddy a cake" "I love cake!"
Life was normal. It was the day before my father's 26th birthday. Yes, my parents were young, but that didn't matter to us. I had just turned five a month before, and I wanted my father's birthday to he as special as mine.
"(Your mom's name)!", Daddy said running through the door. "(Your dad's name)? Why are you here? You don't leave the office for three hours?!", Mommy spoke confused. "It's happening! It's happening (Your mom's name)! Get (Y/n) down to the bunker, and I'll meet you there!"
Mommy looked down at me horrified, and I tilted my head slightly. "U-Uh um...Sweetie", Mommy said shocked. After the hysteria wore off she ran into her room and grabbed a few bags. I jumped off the kitchen counter, running to my room and grabbed my favorite plushie. It was a white dragon I had named Dragonie. Mommy started calling for me, so I ran back to the kitchen.
Mommy grabbed my hand, and dragged me to the basement. She dropped her bags, and stared into my (e/c) eyes. "Don't you dare move sweetie. I-I'll be right back" Mommy ran up the stairs back into the main house, shrieking Daddy's name.
I heard Mommy open the bunker door, so I stood to greet her and Daddy. Mommy's eyes were lined with tears, as she ran down the stairs alone. She hugged me tighter than I knew was humanly possible, and sat me down on one of the chairs in the room.
"(Y/-(Y/n)...I...I love you", she managed to get out before breaking down. "(Y/-(Y/n)...Pr-Promise you-you'll be str-strong for m-me", she forced the words out from behind her tears. "M-...Mommy?", I was crying now too.
Mommy wiped her own tears, then mine, and smiled. "You're...You're gonna be a strong one...I know it" "M-Mommy?", I whispered again. "(Y/n)...I love you...And I'll never stop loving you...You will survive...And I know we'll see each other again", she spoke smiling.
Mommy hugged me again, then kissed my head. "D-Don't forget how to smile...My goofball", she laughed squeezing my hand. My tears kept falling, as I gave Mommy last thing I thought was inside me...I smiled.
Mommy hugged me one more time, before running up the bunker stairs. I heard her seal the door, and I became to scream for her to come back. A large roar erupted from outside, and then I felt the temperature of the room raise. My eyes went dull as one word escaped my lips. "Dragons"
I moved from the chair I was in, onto the couch. I pulled my knees to my chest, as I heard countless screams of the outside world. I looked at my stuffed animal, and started to bawl. I hugged it close, and began to rock back and forth. The ground began to shake as the sky demons landed. I hugged Dragonie closer, and felt my power drain in the heat.
In one moment, I lost everything...
As the roars and cries from the outside world became more routine, I began to try to make a song out of it. Music had always been calming for me, and I started humming to myself a sweet melody. The melody soothed my mind, and I forgot about what was happening around me as I fell asleep.
When I woke up, it was pitch silent. I sat up on the couch, and picked Dragonie up off the floor. 'He must've fell while I was asleep' I walked over to the entrance of the bunker, and slowly opened it. I pushed the door open slowly, and regretted the action instantly. In front of me lay a city of ash and rubble, still on fire.
I ran out of the city crying. I found my way to a grassy field before I lost all control of my emotions. "WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME?!", I screamed in agony. "IF YOU LOVED ME, WHY DIDN'T YOU STAY!?" I continued yelling, as a white blur blocked the Sun. "WHYD YOU LEAVE ME?! WHY!?...Why?"
The white figure landed beside me causing the ground to vibrate. I looked over at the source, and shrieked. A huge white dragon with crystal blue eyes stared at me. "Dear child? Why are you out here alone?", the beast spoke soothingly.
"I'm out here...because...because...YOU KILLED MY FAMILY" I let the tears fall freely from my eyes, as my skin became blotchy and my eyes red. "Dear child, I did none of the sort. I tried to stop them, and told them there was no reason to come for the humans" The dragon sighed and a wave of hot air flew past me. "They didn't listen..."
I started to walk towards the beast, and slowly stuck my hand out to touch her. Once I pet her head, she let out an audible purr. The dragon sat up, and looked at my Dragonie amused. "I am Celeste, a crystal dragon", Celeste spoke proudly. "I'm...I'm (Y/n)", I smiled. "What would you say if I taught you crystal dragon slayer magic?"
In a moment of complete destruction, I found my future. My destiny was not to be with a normal human family, but instead, learn the ways of dragons.
