stuck in traffic

It felt to Greg like as though the day was stretching too long because not only did he not have any proper seating arrangement at the back of the van with little to no air present for him to breathe but also the van got stuck in stupid traffic. It seemed like ages but the traffic didn't feel like as though it was gonna get cleared any moment. When Greg's dad got down to check what the hoopla was all about, he gotta know that there was traffic because an ice-cream van had just fallen over and that there was ice-cream spilt all over the road.Greg's older brother was clueless to what was happening around him as he was fast asleep. Minnie on the other hand was crying constantly as she was feeling cranky because of all the honking noises around her. Greg's mom on the other hand was on the phone with their neighbour Martha.She just wanted to make sure that Martha would water their plants and collect the paper while they were gone. Greg just felt like getting out of the van and running away from all this chaos the first chance that he got. But he just decided to stay put and just pray that the van would start moving soon. Greg had a pack of gum in his pocket so he started chewing some gum and when he got tired of it, he decided to spit it out. So he just  slightly opened the side window and without having a second look just spit it. Unfortunately a blue van arrived out of nowhere and the gum which Greg spit out landed in the hair of a giant woman sitting in the passenger seat. Just when the woman turned to look at who would have done such a nasty thing, the traffic cleared up and Greg's van started moving. Greg wasn't really sure if the woman had caught a glimpse of him. But he was praying that she didn't and just ducked underneath a blanket and dozed off hoping that this nightmare would end soon
