It's been just a day since school ended and Greg has already decided how he wants to spend it .All he was planning to do was to just lay around ,read a lot of comic books and stuff ,pig out on snacks ,catch up on his favourite tv shows and movies and then last but not the least play video games .Yup he sure had it all planned out in his head. But the thing was things always don't go just the way you have planned it right so this is what happened that morning

Greg's mom Susan shouted at the top of her lungs "Minnie ,what the hell do you think you are doing .Put that cookie down .I told you before .No cookies before dinner" Minnie had this evil wide grin plastered on her face "Mommy please let me just have this one cookie ..pretty please "
Just then ,Greg's older brother Dylan was freaking out over his lost car keys"Mom did you see my car keys .I'm not able to find it anywhere " Greg's mom just sighed "Dylan you need to learn to be more responsible .How could you be careless with your stuff like that ?" "But mom I swear to God ,I remember putting the keys on the dining room table just a moment back and now it's gone "Dylan shrieked
Greg was getting annoyed by all the racket in the house because he wasn't able to enjoy his first day of summer holiday in peace.
"Greg did you see your brother's car keys anywhere "his mother asked
Greg spotted something shiny just then behind the water cooler.When he went closer and looked at it ,he realized that it was the car keys .
"Mom ,I think I just did" Greg shouted back to his mom . He went to his brother and threw him the keys "Nice job punk" his brother said. "Anytime loser" he retorted back
At that moment the phone rang .Greg's mom Susan went and answered the call .It was from Greg's dad. Susan nodded on the phone for a while and her expression changed a bit . she seemed to be a little excited .Then she hung up the call.Susan turned towards her children and said "Guess what your father just told me".The kids just stood their looking at each other puzzled at what their mom might be excited about.what she said next changed what the kids had in mind for their summer holiday...
P.s this is actually inspired from the original' diary of a wimpy kid 'series .But it's entirely different from that .I mean to make changes once I've completed it. I hope you guys enjoy this and please do leave comments 💛
