Standing in the middle of the gridlock, Bianca felt a pang of regret for her decision to study Criminal Law instead of Medicine.
On a normal day, she loved her job. Hunting down hackers was a thrilling puzzle, and she was damn good at it. The day had started out interesting, with the Midas announcement and its mysterious new owner. Ten hours later, she was on emergency traffic duty, with no end of the day in sight. She wished there was something more interesting than the symphony of car horns.
When she heard the screaming, she immediately regretted her wish.
