Chapter 4

(Katniss' Pov) I walk back in to the living room with tear stains on my eyes. "What happened sweetheart?" asks Haymitch. "Gale kissed me so I slapped him and he got mad and ran off" Peeta walks in and says "The food is ready where's Gale?" "He's gone he tried to kiss me and I got mad at him and he ran off, he's probably in the woods." I hug Peeta and he kisses me on the forehead."Let's go eat everyone." So we all go to the dining room and start eating. (Gale's Pov) I am in the woods. This place holds so many happy memories for me like the time Catnip taught me how to swim and the first time we met. The woods used to be our only escape from the Capitol and all the rules we had. The guilt from storming off is eating me alive I need to go back and apologize to Katniss. I then hear some
mockingjays in the trees and they remind me of her of how she survived the awful games twice, was strong during the time when Peeta was hijacked, lost many lives even her sister died, and won the war. I am going to go back to her house. (Peeta's Pov) Everyone has left amd Katniss and I are whatching TV in her bedroom. She is resting her head on my chest and I have my arm around her. "You are beautiful and I love you more than anything." I whisper to her. "I love you too Peeta I couldn't live without your love. Those times when you hated me were awful I am so glad you are back to me now." "I'm glad to!" I say while kissing her neck. I have been planning to ask Katniss to marry me for a week and I am waiting for the right time. I have never felt so sure about anything in my entire life. (Katniss' Pov) Peeta is wonderful to me and I love him so much. We are in my bedroom whatching TV when I hear the doorbell ring. "I'll get it." he says. "I'll go with you." He scoops me up and carries me down the stairs we both open the door and Gale is standing right there...
